That's funny you call them a big slow SMC team. Most of the time when the slow SMC plays in the state championship game against the way faster eastern team the slow SMC team wins.

Great post Mr magnum greenville looks like really good team, just don't see much speed.
I look forward to hearing your all's feedback. Regarding the lack of speed you reference, i don't think Greeneville makes its living on speed. They certainly have the athletes to play with anyone, and they have proven that over and over again when they play (and beat) the teams from Knoxville, Nashville and Memphis. But Greeneville is dominant because they dominate teams at the line of scrimmage, run the ball very well, and are nearly impossible to run the ball on. They are so much physically stronger than other teams, that high school teams simply cannot deal with the physicality. Tough for fans to understand and fully appreciate that aspect of it- physicality doesn't jump out as much as speed. But Greeneville is plenty fast to play with anyone.

Magnum and Mrbud are not Pisgah supporters I have an idea they have never seen a high school football game in their life.I even question if Mrbud has ever been in a high school. Arguing with those two fools is just wasting your time.
That's because eastern 1a teams are usually trash with the rare exception of a team like Tarboro.
Tarboro is in the big 1a and they are loaded . More than likely could compete and beat a lot of 2a teams ! How about we compare apples to apples

I have watched the film numerous times. Greeneville was plain whooping them on the line... and an unbiased eye will tell you that Greeneville probably got more bad calls..
I’m sure there will be plenty of home cooking refs tomorrow. And no. It won’t be closer than last year... Greeneville had six starters out last year... they return the same team except for 3 starters and they are much bigger and stronger. And yes fast...

Just always watch game film. In every football game you could call more holds. Most I saw after last years game that coaches were complaining about was kids just getting beat. Best refs I have ever call was calling games when I didn’t care who won. Lol

they will normally dress about 50? Then another 35 or so are on JV team that don’t dress with varsity. They will occasionally let more kids dress for home games.
Ok. Yeah Greeneville recruits and pays players too.. I mean if you are winning that’s got to be the case right? At what age did they recruit them 7,8? Pretty smart to know who is going to be a player at that age.....cause most of them have played together since then..

Yeah. They don’t travel with that many due to expense. Prob 50-60 coming tonight. This years freshman class is biggest I remember ..About 35 kids....Unfortunately we may have a couple starters out tonight...
BS... I live in Asheville and I've been to Greenville many times. You can't tell me there's that much talent in that little hillbilly town. I'm not buying that one bit. They go out and they get players from all around the area that's already been established. Like I said there's nothing impressive about that. When teams are great and they are all homegrown Talent that's when they become very impressive

You have now quoted the Asheville newspaper as well as the Haywood County newspaper. What are you looking for validation or something? Everyone knows you're going to beat the piss out of Pisgah tonight. Their fans know it as well they're just trying to stay optimistic. That still doesn't impress because you're not playing the best teams in North Carolina or even Western North Carolina.
