can not drink the Kool-Aid you have to be ready to play every week no matter who you play. And that is difficult with teen agers who read the internet and listen to fans.

Pisgah plays a weak schedule. Inflated by playing weaker teams and then getting into a conference that is filled with a bunch of average teams playing each other. I think the point is proven that the NCHSAA seeding process is highly flawed.
Man, it sounds like the punter being ejected likely cost the bears the game..what a crucial flag....
You do realize that Greeneville,TN would most likely win 2a in North Carolina. I would bet playing them was one of the main reasons they got the 1 seed even if they shouldn't of been.
I agree that playing Greeneville probably had a lot to do with it but why does getting blown out 42-7 or whatever it was qualify you to get the 1 seed?
That's computers for you. Just like when we had the BCS in college. I thought Hibriten should of been the 1 seed. It all works out in the end.

LoL football in TN is a joke. So many small mountain teams, where their best players look like the next Bo Jackson. Come man calm down and go watch them play. Tons of big slow white boys outside of Nashville and Memphis.
Not poking fun because playoff losses are always tough but, any Pisgah fans are welcome to come to Heritage tonight at 7 if you still in the mood for high school football. You guys will be welcome to join us and from what I hear we may be playing next year in the regular season anyways.
Think I will wait til next week when Hendersonville comes to Heritage.The Bears will play MH in the sixth game next year.
Funny how you give Hendersonville props on this thread, but trash Murphy on the 1A. Murphy just finished a two-game series with them and swept both games ... and to no one's surprise, Hendersonville opted out of renewing the series. Make up your mind brother. Who is legit and who is not?

Just my two cents..ive saw greenville play 4 times on film and no disrespect to anyone in 2a in NC but no one in 2a would beat this years greeneville team..4 d1 signees so far and 7 more still deciding on there college choice..may not all be d1 but thats 11 kids off one team ..they are very good..i will not slam pisgah because sure they had hoped for a deep run but sorry i just can't consider 10-2 a bad season..
Glad to hear Heritage is playing Pisgah next year that should be a good game I love to watch a game at Pisgahs stadium
I’ve seen Greenville play in person this year and only seen Hibriten play on film and I believe they would give Greenville all they want. Greenville is impressive when they run about 90 kids or so out on the football field with only 900 students. Elizabethton stayed in the game with them for about a half before Greenville pulled away. Mtn. Heritage would match up well with Elizabethton and I believe we would win, but definitely the depth of Greenville would be tough on most teams. For sure a loss to Greenville would not be considered a bad resume’ for a 2A school from NC.
I tell you who is a beast for Greenville is that fullback. He should have gotten the ball moste in the game I saw. I believe his last name May have been Youngblood or something like that. He punishes defenders.
And I might add that Hibriten drug Ashe County 56 to 14, so I'd take us in the match up with Greenville, TN. Our fullback, Jones #23 loves to punish defenders AND he's fast. I love it when the D keys up on Gee and Qwon takes it to the house up the gut!!! It's a beautiful thing to watch! Congrats to EL, I think they might play spoiler for more than one team!
Upsets happen in every sport. Pisgah had a great regular season, I'm sure the Bears will continue their strong play next year. Most mountain teams would love to win their conference and finish the year with 2 losses.
All I know is that would be a awesome game to see and I have no clue who would win.Watched Hibriten play Shelby last year. Really awesome game.I finally got to see Shelby play and Hibriten win. I don’t know what Ashe County has to with this.

You’ll find that this guy really just barks he knows just a tiny bit about football but pops off at the mouth without doing his homework likely never was on the field in a high school game. Might have played some youth league. Also loves to hate Pisgah he won’t tell me who his team is so I’m going with him being a Tuscola fan who is tired of being beat the last 6 years
That is true for some teams but is not the expectation of the elite programs. Anything less than a state championship is subpar.
Shelby is considered as having a down year with that said they are not thinking about how far they have come since the season began. They expect to win another ship. SP is in the same boat. They are at Hibriten as a huge underdog Friday but their long term expectation is to win another championship.
Mountain teams may not carry that expectation outside of a few programs like AC Reynolds, Murphy and a few others.
Btw hope Catholic is doing well and I’m sure they are I haven’t kept up with them this year. Really enjoyed playing there in 02 (always helps when you win) but all the people after the game that I met and congratulated us after the game were really nice. Something you don’t always see after upsets from opposing fans. I’ve been a CC fan ever since unless they are playing Pisgah.
