Reason I said that. I remembered years ago when I worked in Newton I heard someone make a statement that when Maiden played away games the only thing you see is tumble weed blowing around. That stuck with me all these years. Lol
Sportsnut, if this friend looks a lot like Wilford Brimley, has been married several times and is a compulsive cusser then it’s him. He also has a cowboy hat.
About the music. I always felt like my posts are so dull that without a little entertainment they would be nearly intolerable.
About the old man comment, I meant me, certainly, not you. Heck, to do what you enjoy doing you’d have to be in good condition and please know there are many fans who appreciate your efforts, irrespective of what some say.

Sportsnut, you may want to take advantage of the opportunity to wear a mask. They’ll just think you’re paranoid or a liberal. Either may be preferable to being called out as a striped shirt😊. On second thought, maybe a mask and a MAGA hat. That should provide you cover.

Sportsnut, OC has some good advice. Over the years when I thought our team had a pretty good chance of winning I would wear a jacket, or sweatshirt to away games of certain teams. It’s been several years since I been to a game in Maiden in which I thought we would win, but when I did I wore a blue sweatshirt, especially at the old stadium. You had to walk right by the most rabid of their fans and exit by them, too.

I worked at Walmart in Lincolnton years ago before the internet and Black Friday evenings were a welcome reprieve from the 5am rush. It was dead once it got dark. I assume most people had already gotten their crock pots/bubble tv combos, but I like to think most went to see some good high school football. The ones who came in that evening I was like what is wrong with you I have to be here.

He called a receprion for a pass that skipped a whole 2 yards in front of him. Missed one blatant hold right in front of him. Just missed a strip on this last play. Called it dead.
