Clinton at East Bladen WK 2

Well hopefully this week the line performs a little better and we can see the other part of those options...the QB getting to the edge or the pitch portion....Cape Fear defense was all over it last week think we only got to the edge once

Yea, gonna make the trip to East Bladen this week. May eat at Giorgio’s otw. Great Italian.

IMO believe Clinton will be fine this year. Cape Fear have a good team and to limit them untill the 4th is good defense from the dark horses. Hard to have a new coach new scheme and come out firing on all cylinders. Big FB back this week should help a lot. Good luck Friday night

I agree that it he Horses will be fine. Coach hasn’t had a lot of time to implement a new offense. And like I said last week, not having Jalen was a huge(pun intended) factor. Like DH#34 said, it’s hard to block 10 in the box and not completing a pass all night. Need to put some NOS in that offense and get it started!

I expect us to be physical and gain the upper hand on a from what i heard a smaller EB team then normal...if we can 5 yard them to death on offense and put together some.long scoring drives ill be satisfied with that i would like us to take some risk tho especially if they gonna put 10 in the box.....doesnt have to be anything complext but you would be amazed how much the defense would loosen up if we complete a couple of quick slants or outs......on defense im pretty confident in our front 7s ability to stop any run game thrown at them...think this is night and day from last years defensive front if its normal EB wing t i think defense shuts it down.....if i had to predict a score i would say Clinton 18 EB 6

Good news Jalen the fb is back this week he will be pounding those guts and dives hard all week
a lot of difference between a 150-160 pound running back and a 240 pound running back hitting a hole, a WHOLE lot of difference. I think it would have a made a difference.

I know it’s way too early to tell but will this be a Clinton team that rides the defense and keeps a low scoring game or are they going to have some shootouts?

It’s only one game in, but just based on that I’d say if clinton ever has to get in a shoot out, we’re doomed. Defense is stout though so I don’t see that happening.

Its early but from what i seen we are going ti rely heavily on the defense unless they have some stuff we haven't seen yet....defense giving the offense short fields to work with...like speak in mic said definitely dont think we will be in many shootouts and if thats the case we probably on the wrong end of that scoreboard and if we get down a couple scores not really the offense built for coming back from behind.....im hoping the offense gets going thou

Bout to check out the JV game hopefully the JV finds some offensive success as they had the same problem as the varsity last week

EB JV on a long drive to end the 1st have the ball inside the Clinton 10 its 3rd and 7 from the 7 when the 2nd quarter starts Clinton JV 8 EB JV 0

Clinton JV offense has found a rhythm tonight so far so good 8:06 in 2nd Clinton JV 16 EB JV 0

JV opens with a big kickoff return and a short drive for a TD Clinton JV 22 EB JV 0 8:17 in 3rd

Dont remember seeing #3 last week for the JV he has looked good small kid but he is fast plays hard had some big runs and almost ran a kickoff back #7 needs to be kicking for varsity

Long TD pass King to Westerbeek about a 70 yard catch and run....Westerbeek #84 is quite a player aswell...some bright spots in the future.....Clinton JV 28 East JV 0 couple seconds left in 3rd

EB JV finally finds the goal line on a long td run around the outside...of course on the subs but no shutout for the JV guys tonight....Clinton JV 28 EB JV 6 4:14 left

Saw East Bladen in scrimmage verse a bad
Purnell Swett team. I know its scrimmage but
EB looked horrible losing 22-0 not threatening the endzone…
FYI, get used to that all run game from coach.
Glad to see Caba is doing well......darn...

JV's are very important, they're your players in the coming seasons. Clinton JV's won the conference last 2 seasons.
Westerbeek has caught a long touchdown passes in each of the first two games. Did an excellent job punting last week. Don't remember us punting tonight. Also he a main player at linebacker on the defense. The jv's have quite a few really good players.

He also had the fumble recovery for TD on the opening drive he did punt once tonight i believe and it was a good one

So he scored 2 of tonight's touchdowns. Heck of a game. His Dad and two Uncles were good DarkHorse players!
Who was kicking off? Him? Whoever it was a few of the kickoffs went over the receiver's head down near the goal line. I remember two going in the end zone which creates a dead ball.

The QB #7 he needs to be kicking for the varsity he has a pretty good leg

Guess the Eagles shouldn't even show up huh.....

I get it though.

Safe travels to all heading to E-Town Friday night.

Is that Paycin King the JV QB who is kicking?

P.S. my spelling may be off on his name.

Yeah he was doing the kicking for the JV was on varsity during the preseason scrimmages not sure if he is gonna be a 8 quarter guy...he definitely has a good leg haven't seen them attempt a extra point yet tho they been going for 2

EB JV was a "Deer in Headlights" in the 1st half last night. First high school game for the majority of the players. After some halftime adjustment and a good talking too, I thought the EB JV played a really good 2nd half. They have a lot work to do but the foundation is there to improve rapidly.

EB very young jv team starting 90% freshman, varsity having to start a sophomore QB also had to move some RB’s to the line of scrimmage, CHS should be fine, EB two years away from being great again

Simmons has Clinton +2 tonight.....its going be a good game i seriously doubt either team scores above 20....3 yards in a cloud of dust once again....field position and turnovers being the deciding factor
