I literally got up yesterday, watched gameday at 9am, then college football from mid-day to midnight... I may have left the recliner three-four times tops..I was going to go try and catch some little league game, but the old man was a bit stove up from the swan dive off the top rope the other day.... HA HA My Irish are rolling with Sam Hartman at the helm (I mean it was against someone Ive never heard of), but hey its the victories like that , that always gives us Irish fans false hope LOL
I watched the Tarheels harrass That Rattlesnake dude at SC to the tune of 9 sacks.. Not sure if the Carolina defense has improved that much or if SC offensive line just plain sucks, but it was a fun game...

Best time of the year? That can be subjective or objective depending on how you look at it…My wife is a Charger and she likes going to the Crest games but she hates listening to me scream trash talk at the team across the field cause I’m a scrawny petite SOB but I do it anyway #itmorechettoescrest91. She’s never seen Crest play in a state championship, she’s never been on one of those road trips to Carolina, Wake, NC State or Duke. My goal in life ( because I’m young) is to help create a child and to take my wife to see Crest win State. That would be the “best time of my life.” That would be the best time of the year whenever that year comes.LOL yall all still at it.... I love it ha ha

On a separate note I watched my God Child play a Rutherford county school yesterday…and damn…excuse my language but those refs must have thought they were on espn…I’m not kidding, win lose or draw these grown ass men acted like they were gonna ref for the Carolina Panthers one day.
Defense is trash! Told y’all that going into the game. It always annoyed me to see Hollifield come into the game, and steal tds from the runningbacks, or in short yardage situations, him having that “Hollifield mentality” of running through a brick wall, only to limp around afterwards, because he isn’t big enough. It would be just a bunch of wasted plays. Stat line would usually be 5 carries 7yards and 2 tds. The other night he looked like Chad Holbrook. Crest has no run defense whatsoever!

Receivers are divas, even on the high school level. There is always going to be someone who complains about their targets, even if the team is undefeated, and blowing everyone out. Wait till your competition stiffens. Being how garbage Crest’s conference is, too, maybe the receivers will remain “well fed”, and remain happy, padding those stats.I don’t think so. 3 and 0 builds cohesiveness. 0 and 3 builds disarray and transfers.

Not at all. I saw a lot of promising things from the last game. How did you get that from me saying Crest’s D is trash? Don’t get me wrong, Crest is still a contender, because no one will be able to keep you guys from scoring.
Shelby’s 2015 team, only losing to a great Crest team, blew the doors of everyone. The D wasn’t great, in my opinion, but no one was going to keep them from dropping 40+.

Facts, though! But, some of you Crest guys talk like it’s the NFC North or the SEC. It was a decade ago. It’s pretty much now our conference with “an expresso shot”, barely stronger. Burns beat down FV. East Gaston beat down Stuart Cramer.🤷🏾♂️

Crest defense is trash LA says. Played Gaffney, Burns, and Shelby… hardest schedule in NC thus far. Great teams do what they need to do to win. That “trash” D made enough stops on 3 good offenses for comfortable wins. Don’t be salty bc you got your arse handed to you. Young defense. A new defense. A new DC. We DL coach. Gaston County got a serious problem and SP will probably remain the only stable school from that area
“Trash” may be too strong a word, but Crest’s D wasn’t good at all, particularly your front 7. The Shelby product, Cam Anderson was solid. No.30, who did all that chest beating every other play, even if the ball carrier slipped, and he didn’t actually make the tackle, was solid. DBs played well.

I pull for Crest when they’re not playing Shelby. 75 percent of the roster is just a bunch of Shelby boys, at the end of the day. Literally, it’s a family get together/feud when the teams meet.

Explain how Crest has played the hardest schedule in NC thus far? You played a 4A power and then played down to two teams. Shelby has played up all 3 games and all three were in the preseason 3A top 5.
Gaffney is 5A. It don’t matter though who any of us play. Especially if you beat none of them.
We beat Gaffney on TV. They just beat South Pointe. If they beat MC next week. Then maybe you’ll understand

Changing the subject…….Burns gave KM all they wanted. KM DL is fast and was the difference in the game. I will give coach David Dewhine credit or the OC for the way they used #23 on offense. I’d like to see him get some Carrie’s. Burns had a great game plan. It was good to see big #74 Bonner back for Burns.

LA is right , we didn’t do a great job “ recruiting “ on the defensive side of the ball. That will be a point of emphasis in the off season.

There is a current good pipeline of athletes in Stanley. Some of those kids are from Mt. Holly and could filter into Stuart Cramer. But EG should continue to uptick over the next few years given they don't lose kids to SC or Highland.
It makes me feel good that we dropped 53 on Shelby
