Somebody needs to tell these south of the border teams to watch out. First Gaffney, then SC and now Clemson. Real football is played in the North. 😁
Incorrect. You satisfied playing up two classifications in playing Gaffney (as Shelby will do playing 4A Olympic this Friday), however your other first 3 games would have to all be against 4A schools to match the difficulty of Shelby's schedule through the first 4 games. Playing down a classification for 2 of those games would be like Shelby playing 2 1A schools in their first 4 games.

We hate our conference as much y'all hate yours. This has already been discussed....many times.
Olympic should be the easiest of our first 4 games so hoping we right the ship this Friday and win the next 13 games in a row.
The question is who do we petition to move either the Crest/KM or Burns/Shelby game to a Thursday or Saturday so we can all go to both of those games?

Oh I know. It doesn't phase me. My kids gave me hell all weekend. Tried my hand in making French toast for them Saturday morning since I lost the bet Friday night....and damn it was good!
I'm not too worried about 2A. We play these really tough first 4 games to see what we need to work on. 2018 we started 1-3 and won the whole damn thing. If we stay healthy and keep our heads up I think we can do that again. Burns and Monroe may be tough outs but I think we will be ok.

Facts! And, Reidsville got some great additions to their already stacked team in the preseason, two D1 prospects. One receiver with an offer from Boston College, the other having a D1 offer in basketball, likely will get offered in football as well. That said, Shelby will be able to compete with anyone in 2A, in my opinion.
Easily the best coached team we have played is Shelby.

So according to Simmons Crest has the 2nd hardest SOS in 3A and Shelby the 1st hardest SOS in 2A. That out of conference for Shelby really really helps them.

While waiting for the Crest v Gaffney game I drove by CCC and seen the Yetis baseball feild and thought I can’t wait till they get a football team ..GWU should be more like Lenoir Rhyne and try to go after more local kids .. I think it would help them because being a local team just means more… in my mind it does
