Welcome new member (Crest fan disguised as a CC fan). Tell that to the coaches that put in the time to develop and mentor these kids just for them to bail on them and join a stacked team to get a ring. To each their own and opinions vary but my opinion will not change on it. Like I said before, there are a lot of hypocrites in sports. They want to reject the world changing to accept new things with our kids on a political spectrum but are also ok with ruining loyalty and morals when it benefits their agenda. I have seen it happen twice already. Player transfers, goes to a college and does not get the playing time immediately they thought they deserved. They transfer to a new school and play but lose a lot of games. Quits college. I know of at least two it's happened to. Wonder where they learned to tuck tail and bounce when things get tough? It's all good though. As long as those trophy cases fill up. Once again just my friendly opinion.

Can’t make a prediction for something in the past. Fact was that Burns wouldn’t have won that one game without him. He came in to pitch and did an excellent job. His hit to left pretty much scored the runs. So yeah if he weren’t on that team on that day Burns would’ve lost. Football aside… IMO ER would’ve won state if he were on that team. IMO
I do not deny his contribution at all. I was referring to you saying ER would have definitely won 2A with him. That we do not know. It's kids man. You never know what happens. Baseball in my opinion is much harder to win it all than Football. Those series come in to play and strategy is big. I never thought Crest would have lost back to back with Mayhue. Nobody would have convinced me that team was not winning it all. They were loaded with talent and it was not meant to be.
Hodge should have won multiple state championships with the teams he had. But they could never get over the hump. Makes me happy.
BB02 is on it and Crest fans hate hearing it. Big difference in transfers and recruiting. Lets be real here... over the course of the last decade or 2, Crest has benefitted greatly from incoming kids. a QB that lead them to two titles, a Shrine Bowl Linebacker etc etc. Its not the same if Burns gets a Hopper (no disrespect intended) thats an average HS receiver on an average football team... the comparisons aren't even close. Shelby has benefited greatly as well. I dont know the ins and outs to their program but I can assume they get kids transferring in due to their constant competing for a State title in 2A every year.
I dont care about the Crest guys that are gonna jump all over this, or the shots Ill take.. Crest is/was/ always will be a dirty program.
sucks too cause they do have absolute talent over there, some good coaches that bleed green and gold, some really good fans, (even the knuckleheads on here are decent guys) and a tradition that is respected but also tainted.

This is where I'm different than people like you and "Rev." I pull for any county team when they play outside the county. I was happy to see Burns win it all this year. I wish all the county schools won state championships every year, in every sport. I think it's pretty sad and petty for a grown man to find happiness in a fellow neighbor having their dreams crushed. I know we all pick and take shots at one another, but I hope to never become like you.

I actually pull for other county teams in different sports as well. TBH not certain sports and certain schools at times.
I can only speak for myself but #hateus is not a feeling it is a request. You all want to be hated. You like that stigma because it gives off the edgy vibe like the program is feared and all the envy. Unfortunately for me and many others it is not the case. Tainted University! It became obvious it was not comfortable with other replies. The mentality changed immediately this year back to the Kirby era. Attitude reflects leadership right? You've been gone a while.
We just started using HATEUS because Barney (Shelby'S COACH) asked his kids to hate us during the pregame speech last year. So we ran with it because it's funny and we're not uptight bung-holes who do everything the proper way. And it's funny. They even made a shirt with it. They're our rival. Enemy number 1. PERIOD. It's nothing to do with Burns or anyone else. We've dominated Burns overall that's a fact. Really nothing more than a fly that aggravates us from time to time. That's it.
I can't speak for anyone else. But I couldn't care less what you or anyone else thinks about our program, coach or players. It just doesn't matter. I don't care about Tommy Bowden either. Kirby has been long gone. Our coach does nothing but help kids, they love him, they play hard for him and that's straight facts. The fact that you compared him to Kirby says what you don't know. But hey, y'all do perfect.

Shelby needs to get the ball into Izay's hands as often as possible. And one thing Crest better not do is kick it to him. Another week older for Farmer so that's a good thing for Shelby.
Crest needs to put the foot on the throttle and not let up. Keep the pressure on Shelby. Crest can make it feel like you need to score every time. Crazy things can happen in a close game and this is Shelby's home opener so those young men will play hyped.
