Agreed! I just thought it was hilarious. I bet that stadium will be packed! Teams back in the 90s were built different. The last time these two met for a full game it was insane. How will both respond to this atmosphere.

it is crazy how time is flying. I am going with KM pulling away in second half. Gaffney in a game closer than people think. Burns prepares for conference games with a route.
I’m going with you never know about Shelby or KM. I just hope Crest plays it’s very best no matter what. Burns should roll.

It’s apples and oranges. All of Huss’ traditional rivals in Gaston County are 3A…they could not have played them all nonconference if they played 2A. Burns and Shelby did not ask to be placed in this conference but still have room to play Crest and KM nonconference.
Question, because I don't know how it works, but did Burns petition to move down or were they forced to move down? I thought they asked.
Burns and Shelby did not ask to play up either. That was the point. The Big South was right there. All you had to do was ask.
Petitioned to move to 2A in 2018/19. Can't remember which year it was. But at that time Burns had been down for a while and had nowhere near 3A numbers the rest of the schools in the conference had.
Burns has 2A numbers, we may have 35 kids on the varsity team? Maybe. This conference we are in now is absolutely terrible and Burns has zero business being in it. But Burns shouldn't be in a 3A conference either. Would love to see Burns (and Shelby) in a conference with Maiden, West Lincoln, Lincolnton, etc.

Not a reason to ask for Shelby to move up, inless your like 50 to 75 kids within 3a u cant move up, were not even close..Hunter Huss was within the numbers to go back up

Burns ADM was 917 last year. Likely lower this year. I wouldn't say we're "very close" to 3A numbers. Crest is over 1100, KM over 1200.
Again we may have 35 kids on varsity, maybe a couple more if we move some up from JV. Burns doesn't have a ton of kids.
