Upstate SC is a different animal when it comes to football. There are so many good teams in every classification. Rock Hill/Fort Mill area area ( Rock Hill, South Pointe, Clover, York, Northwestern, Chester, Catawba Ridge), Cherokee County ( Gaffney), Spartanburg County(Dorman, Byrnes, Spartanburg, Woodruff, Chapman,), Greenville County area( Hillcrest, Greenville, Daniel, TL Hanna, Southside Christian, Christ Church, St. Joe's ) Columbia area(Dutch Fork, Ft. Dorchester, Summerville) Greenwood area ( Greenwood, Abbeville, Saluda). I know I'm probably missing so many. I know that NC has a whole lot of teams that are extremely good too. I would love to see these SC/NC matchups more often. They are fun to watch and the bragging rights between the fans is priceless.

BC went and scrimmaged Polk last week and my son said the BC had a nice looking line but QB and WR were terrible.. I watched some of TJ and my god they look like a bad JV team … I actually feel for Burns and Shelby having to play that bunch..
Don’t feel bad for them. They both could have asked to play up just like Hunter Huss did.
At least Shelby plays a heck of a non conference schedule.
Burns will feel right at home with them next year.

Hahaha...I'm not surprised that you couldn't comprehend the entire message good buddy....NO where in my message did I say NC didn't have powerhouse teams....actually I said I know NC has some very good teams and I would personally love to see the matchups more often...but we can atleast agree that crest and Blacksburg are not in the conversation 😉 at this time...you need to come check a game out brother...you know I love cuttin up with ya!

Here’s the deal. SC has less schools than NC, but they are bigger and most are newer. They support more student enrollment. I actually love how SC does it. NC has more schools. Most are older and less student enrollment. There are exceptions in Raleigh and Charlotte. Gaffney has roughly 1800 students to 1100 roughly for Crest. I think Crest could compete well with SC schools that are 3A and around the same enrollment. But going to a Gaffney vs Dutch fork or Dorman is big football.
U never know with foorball, Crest could shock Gaffney,
Crest has ton skill players i just worry bout line play and depth late in game..

Well, on the bright side.... cuts out on the wear and tear on the starters and lets the young guys get real game experience.....
I rode by Dorman not long ago and thought it was a small college campus at first......
We didn't have a game with Chapman. We had a scrimmage with them.
2 Turnover on downs in the redzone and a blocked punt on our own 10 can't happen in a real game.
Games start this Friday.
Dorman has great athletic facilities. They put their money where the mouth is.
They use the education lottery the right way. Who knows where the money goes in North Carolina?
