The Cherryville High School Ironmen basketball team defeated the Highland School of Technology tonight by a score of 87 to 64. The scoring for the Ironmen had Rhyer Davis with 36; Grant Henderson - 7; Tre' Lockhart - 11; Christian (Alvin) Jones - 2; Landon Hudson - 2; Timmy Whisnant - 5; Jaiden Hunt -3; Chris Dean - 4; Austin Seagle - 1; Dalton Horney -2; Bud Baxter - 2; and Yung Sherrill - 14. The Ironmen have a record of 10 wins and four losses.
Lady Ironmen Game
The Cherryville High School Lady Ironmen basketball team was defeated by the Highland School of Technology Lady Rams tonight by a score of 42 to 49.
JV Boys Game
The Cherryville Ironmen JV basketball team defeated the Highland School of Technology JV team by a score of 44 to 29.
All three teams, JV Boys, Lady Ironmen, Ironmen, will play Friday night, January 16, 2015 against the Yellow Jackets of Bessemer City. The games will be played in Nixon Gymnasium in Cherryville. The JV's start at 5:00 p.m. and the Lady Ironmen game will start at 6:15 p.m. The boys game will start approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of the girls game.
