NE should be fine. EB just had some crazy stuff happen Friday. Young team couldn't bounce back from the SC loss. I'll take 9-3 in a "down year" Team overachieved. Coach Priest even said it. Rare missed PAT. Lost second leading rusher in the 1st half. QB went down in the 4th quarter. Beddingfield played keep away. Don't expect NE to allow them to do that.

The closest this game will be is 0-0 at the coin toss NE will roll game probably well in hand at halftime......hopefully we handle business Friday and get a shot at some redemption against the Eagles in round 3

While the 2A board is by far the most active forum, you would think SWO is a small college with the number of posters it has. NE shouldn't have a problem if they are as good as I think they are. EB really over achieved this year and got lucky in a couple of games but have some really good, experienced talent coming back for 2019. Never thought we would make it passed the second round but was hopeful to get that first round game.
Beddingfield likes to run it a lot. Main guy is #3 and FB #40 gets a bunch of carries. They will go to the wildcat with #3 and try to spread you out so he can try to find some holes to run through. After the first series, that didn't work to well. They played well against the run but the field conditions really hurt us and what we were trying to do offensively. Just couldn't get any running game going. Anyway, I see NE cruising in this one.

I'm Darkhorses for life, but yes the Mallard Creeks and the Wake Forests are teams that are on a whole other level. But I don't think for one minute that Clinton, Wallace, NE or SWO would be afraid to go up against them. Teams like these you just give the kids an oblong ball and they'll play whenever and wherever.
