Vance County (0-0) @ Red Springs (1-0)
Don’t know much about Vance County. But Red Springs is athletic and will win. Devils by 14.

South Columbus (0-0) @ Douglas Byrd (1-0)
Congrats to Byrd as they got their first win in 25 games.South Columbus will be a step up and they will not have any problems with Byrd. Stallions by 21

South Robeson (0-0) @ Union (0-1)
South Robeson will be improved and start the season off with a win. S. Rob by 8.

St. Pauls (1-0) @ Union Pines (1-0)
Can St. Pauls capitalize on their “upset” win at E. E. Smith? Union Pines is trying to have back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1997 and 1998. This should be a great game. Bulldogs by 7.

South Brunswick (0-1) @ West Bladen (0-0)
I would love to pick the knights but I will have to look forSouth Brunswick to get in the win column. S. Brunswick by 7.

West Columbus (0-1) BYE

Whiteville (1-0) @ West Brunswick (1-0)
The new look West Brunswick trojans will surprise a lot of teams this year. Whiteville will not be one of them. Whiteville by 10.

I agree with you. I'm curious about E Bladen though. Saw then in a scrimmage and I thought they looked ok. I'm going on a limb and say the Eagles win a nail biter. Their QB appears to be a tough kid.

He is and he is only a soph. EB will be very inexperienced but have a lot of athletes on both sides of the ball. Pretty quick team with not a lot of size. If EB can stop the fullback, we have a good chance.

Stopping the fullback could be a problem. Scoring could be another. DarkHorses played a great defensive game against CF. I think it will be a good game.

Early on,Whiteville looks to be team to beat in conf. play. I've seen Red Springs play,and pack. I'm hearing St. Paul's has talent but until Robeson county teams prove they can play with 100 percent for 10 games I'm looking for Pack and South Columbus to contend for conference championship.
This week I got Whiteville by 14 over WB.
