And my Sox are currently in last place…
That no hitter and lose reminds me of a game my son’s senior year. Second game of year they faced a lefthander all of them grew up playing against. Heck he played travel for me for two years. Anyway he was on that night. In seven innings he struck out twenty and had a no hitter. Only thing was a strikeout reached on dropped third and ended up scoring on a groundout in 3rd inning. If not for a questionable call in bottom of 7th that would have been coolest stat line in a win ever
My son’s team won in extras by 3 anyway but at least the story is still kinda interesting.
