In late March, Fairmont Wide Receiver Jarique Moore received his first full offer from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. On Wednesday, Coach Aaron Curry from UNC-Charlotte came down to Fairmont and offered Moore his second full scholarship at UNC-Charlotte. Just wanted to share the news with Ms. Deanna King. We are trying to figure out how to create an account for Moore so that his recruiting status will be available.

On a side note, we are still looking for coaches who can fill either an EC Position or Art Position. I've been busy with trying to moving, a career and looking to start my own business. Anybody heard anything about Spring practice for the dogs? We didn't lose much last year besides a coach or two. It was hard to swallow last year and I don't have huge expectations out of them this year, but hopefully we will start to climb out of pits of hell and become relevant again in the next two years.

Still don't see them shutting Albemarle down, but the people in this county are lost and confused. They should've voted in the tax increase, in which no one would have missed 4 cent on the dollar.

...anyway back to the topic. How will the dogs look in 2016?

Was great seeing the kids out working the last two days. Spoke with one of the assistants who said they had 57 kids signed up for spring practice. Sounds like pretty good numbers to me. Hope kids in other schools are coming out also.

Talking about old style coaches that seem to be disappearing. Examples: Jack Gaster and Toby Webb at Albemarle, The 2 Browns at Thomasville , Tom Brown At Maiden, Jack Holley at WRH, David Gentry at Murphy and countless others. At Albemarle I'm sure I will never see another Webb or Gaster. Also I will never see another TA Mclendon or Tyler Lewis. One of the last games Gaster coached a guy standing beside me who I didn't know said to me. Look at your coach "He is a vanishing breed'' ' He may have been right".

What is the area looking like? Will East Surry and E Wilkes repeat? The both are capable. Will Starmount improve over last year? How is Mt Airy looking and Walkertown? Who are the top players to watch. Is it true the RB from N Wilkes is at W Central now? What is everyone's thoughts?
