Hey I'm a Winston-Salem Carver guy and I just found out that one of our young men may have transferred to you guys. I don't like to mention names of minors/kids but he's a junior running back. He's a good running back with nice size and an even better young man. I just want to know if my newfound information is solid. If so I trust the Black Knight family will take him in and continue to help him reach his potential. If he's there a part of me will be pulling for you guys this season.

New season is upon us already within 3 weeks or so. I've been out of the loop for a while and have no idea what the legendary coach Brown has cooking this year in Icard.

This team suprised a lot of people last year after starting alittle slow out the gate. Losing RB Clark and a good WR is a major blow however I noticed a lot of good size on the team last year was Jrs and some beefy fellas on a not so good JV team. I may have posted and asked this same question months before, but wouldn't hurt to start again. What is expected this year? All input welcome

Look for West Montgomery to repeat as conference champions, but the conference championship may come down to the final week of the regular season when West Montgomery entertains East Montgomery. North Stanly and North Moore will also have something to say in the conference standings. Union Academy will fall in the middle of the pack, while Albemarle and South Stanly try to improve on last seasons' finish. Chatham Central edges away from South Davidson in the conference basement.

feels good to get back on here after a little break. Been scanning over some threads and reading. What's everyone thinking about the standings for this years TRC? I can tell you I am beyond pleased with Coach Dove and the discipline he has already instilled in the SC players just in the weight room. I'm more excited about this season than I have been in many years.

Who's going to win?

I think there will be some good match ups this season but the conference as a whole will be mediocre. Not ready to make a prediction but interested to get the talk going.

Crest & Shelby Middle Schools are looking for middle school teams to participate in their jamboree on Wednesday August 31st. Two teams have dropped out in the past two weeks. Anyone have any idea who will be at the Mooresville jamboree this year? Only 2 teams i know for sure (not including Mooresville) are Davie County and Cox Mill.

All the teams looked decent last night at Big Oaks. Braves will shock some people this season.

Thoughts? first game of the season. Last year, Bears defense was stout for the most part, but there were a lot of new faces for both teams. Two well coached teams with respect for each other. Should be a good start to the season.

Question for bareman. Heard mount airy already has a few key injuries. Just curious if this was true or just a rumor? Which players?

I can already tell a big difference between the prior years and now. Coach Pierce is changing the culture of our program at WCHS. We may not be able to beat the Fairmont's, South Columbus's, and Whiteville's of our conference, but I think that we can compete with everyone else. Just looking to make improvement and win at least 7 to 8 games. I'm excited for our season to start. Hoping to go to South Brunswick and leave 1-0.
