Yes ma’am I did understand the intention…I think he was meaning if top seed loses then home field advantage falls to No 2 which is Mtn Heritage if they win.
EW is physical. This thread has covered every school in the state I believe, lol.
As for all the comments about different topics, personally I don't believe EW has a big line, nor do I believe they have speed(#3 is fastest). We just have kids in the skill positions that love to hit and fight for every extra yard they can get (especially #10, QB)
Still won enough games to insure themselves of their perpetual home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Thats the one thing about Reidsville I have a hard time understanding, How they seem to rarely ever play on the road. With carefully scheduled non-conference games along with yearly domination of a typically weak conference they virtually guarantee themselves a yearly #1 seeding come playoff time. This is an art in and of itself.
Cheerduck is the only Hickory fan I know as far as forums and he posts on other sites too like CVAC 2A. There’s even more than me as far as EB supporters but after bout the 5th game they post on other posts or just generally get quite cause there ain’t nothing there at EB with the coach drama and the tallent graduated most of which was hurt last year.I think Hickory only has one fan on this site. That’s all I’ve ever seen post anyway. I saw Hickory twice last year, and based on what all they had coming back this year, I think they would compete with most of the 4A teams, maybe all of them. I haven’t seen Crest this year, but I know what kind of athletes/gamers they breed. I think this one’s gonna be a classic.
I agree to a point. Erwin runs the spread more than anyone and it they have had a lot of success with it. I've seen them beat teams like Charlotte Catholic, South Point, etc with that spread offense. The problem is when you come up against the most athletic teams in the state it's not as effective. That might be the difference Friday against West Charlotte because we are not going to out athlete them. Another thing about the spread is you better have a damn good QB and receivers to do it. I see a lot of teams doing it that have no business running it. As for the old school ground and bound, it's highly effective if done right. Heritage had no business beating Erwin this season but they are a master at that style of play. Last week Smoky Mountain did the same thing and they are successful with it as well. I will say it's extremely boring to watch as a fan. Lol. Smoky had the ball for almost the entire 1st qtr to score once. Erwin scored on two possessions after touching the ball. I told my buddy at the game that that type football will bore you to sleep when you're used to a team like Erwin. My theory on this goes like this. Love or hate the old school coaches like Wilkins Poss etc but the way mountain teams stay successful are to play a different style of football. Ground and pound ball control etc. When Asheville and ACR did that they were more successful. The spread crap plays right into the hands of the teams farther east. ACR and Asheville have as many or more athletes than they ever have but the teams east of us have more. Those teams they play in the playoffs have seen the spread all year. Asheville and ACR can just out athlete everyone around here normally but that’s here. We need to quit trying to do what everyone else does. We have to out physical the East. I know the lower classifications aren’t the same as the upper but the Heritage’ and Robbinsville’ and so on of the world do out physical their opponents. They do against the bigger schools that give them the opportunity around here as well. Just a thought
They almost like a college team as far as athletics, Hickory don’t have that kinda track caliber but they do have a few athletes that show up and show out during track seasonDudley has a few WR/RB that are part of the 3A Track Champions Track Team, that they won 2 of the last three years. The other year they was Runners Up!!!
Yep, he’ll be fine regardless where he goes.Thought this was interesting from the 247 article on Baker
“Penn State has a unique tie to Baker, as quarterbacks coach Danny O'Brien played at East Forsyth. O'Brien has played a major part in Penn State's continued pursuit of Baker.”
When he picked Tarboro to lose to Gates county I was completely stunned. Then he picked them to lose to a 2 win Washington county team. When he did that I knew it was for the views lolGot to be doing it for the views lol
Got to be doing it for the views lolHe still picking against y’all’s teenagers? That’s a hard headed fella ain’t he?
