Had about 4 inches at Mitchell this morning. The Green team should’ve played tonight. I think the cold would have hurt Hayesville, but I understand the logic of frozen over melt water and how that could endanger the Hayesville student athletes.
Mitchell county was named after Elisha Mitchell who first proclaimed Mt. Mitchell to be the highest mountain east of the Rockies. Ironically Mt Mitchell is now located in the county of the dreaded green team. I don’t know who’s got it worse, them for being famous because of a Mitchell or us because our namesake is in green team country.
10 years ago, I used to date a teacher at East Dublin, and she lived between Beaulaville and Wallace. Man, I forgot how dreadful that drive is to Beaulaville from Kinston's direction😤
Wanted to give you a report from 15 feet up a two man ladder sir. Today is first day of rifle season around here. So far have had six does, of various sizes, come sauntering by. Around 6:50 had the tall, narrow eight I have on camera make an appearance. He will be nice in another year but doubt he makes it. Thinking of you and yours sir. Hopefully things are improving. People tend to forget when things rotate out of the news cycle.
I wonder if Jordan Marsh (former HR OL coach with Marty Paxton/Jason Seidel) would have any interest in the job? I know he’s a little younger, but he could be getting a phone call - he and the AD know each other pretty well.
Should be lots of quality candidates to pick from - Harrisburg is a great little area and the Harrisburg Cowboys/HR JV football pipelines seem to be infused with some talent right now.
I don’t know anything about the district or the surrounding area. How does the Central Cabarrus job compare to HR now that it is open? I would think that many of the applicants would apply at both just based on location.
