Not denying that, but that doesn’t change the fact that Hough is playing not to lose right now. They have had multiple long sustained drives down the field and have only been able to cash in one so far. Outside of 2 long td runs by summers, grimsley hasn’t had a long drive. However I do understand that is grimsley’s style. They thrive on explosive plays. If Hough can come out and limit the explosive runs, they’re back in this. That’s a tall task though. On offense theyre running the ball pretty effectively, but they need to get Evans going early out of halftime if they want any chance to win this. Grimsley has done a good job bracketing Evans though.
Agreed Lion….Shelby can go right down the field with their short passing attack. Monroe’s D is definitely putting the pressure on your qb when yall try to go deep.

When Farmer drops back to go deep, that’s where he gets in trouble. If Shelby can balance between short passes and run the ball they can take this to the wire. Very entertaining game!
Thats our major problem sometimes..... We try to hit the homerun deep.....
The drives we scored on tonight, all short passes mixing in the run, we go three out and out its trying to go deep against a defense that is getting pressure on us with all that speed....
It has been a great game so far....Maybe we can eek it out ,but we got to make some plays on defense and so far we havent...
Well, I know Murphy was on their own 36 with a 4 & 9 but with around 6:34 on the clock they should have gone for it because this plays in MH hands to eat the clock.
