Again Mt.Airy had a good team! They were no where near as complete of a team as last year and also, you can’t replace Coach JK Atkins in one year. Mt.Airy’s Offense was just ok..It had a one hitter quitter in the backfield. They had a great defense. But a team that has athletes.. runs a tricky offense and has a disruptive defense is gonna give teams a challenge and problems!

He’s a tough kid and has played hard. I was worried about that foot in cold weather with Monroe being that aggressive. I was hoping they would leave the home run ball for next week because I felt like FH and Brevard would struggle to cover them. Monroe has the athletes but lack the discipline. The first half Shelby had the right mix but got away from it some. Hell of a season for Shelby. I don’t see anyone beating them in the playoffs next year.

@GoBertie I saw you over there, @dogs79 and @oldway55 wouldn’t come unless we sat on Northeastern side.

I have been waiting a couple of years for this game, so I might as well get the thread going. I had two kids at Wilson Prep. I went to Wilson Prep games, but I found myself not liking this football team much. Yeah, they have talented players, but they are so incredibly undisciplined. If they were ever able to get all 11 guys trying to accomplish the same task, they could be great. But every year they managed to avoid the measuring stick in the East by losing close games to less talented teams with more grit and discipline. They don’t know what deep water they are heading into. I’m normally a humble fan, but I really and looking forward to seeing the Vikings pound on WP.
