Bunker Hill vs Brevard

Brevard usually travels decently, I think.

Mountain teams don't seem to travel to well. 🤔
Yes, I would argue that Brevard travels well and will bring a good crowd. I would also say that Pisgah, Tuscola, Reynolds, Franklin all travel pretty well of the larger mountain schools. I may be missing a few others.

I look for Brevard to take this one. They have a talented group this year.

Well me and my lack of knowledge will be over here watching Hickory beat ya'll next round after both of you dispatch these two ankle biters you have this week. You are going to be reminded just how far apart you are from last year when you see Hickory.
It’ll either be a very good game with Hickory winning or Crest will win. I don’t see them soundly beating Crest. That’s if both handle business this week.

Oak Grove

Crest will beat OG by 3 TD's. OG lacks the inherent fortitude to respond to the onslaught that Crest will charge to Midway with. OG has played a schedule of teams with a combined record of 45-72 (.384) and only one team is still in the playoffs (West Forsyth to whom they lost). Only two teams on the schedule had winning records (WF and Montgomery Central). Crest, meanwhile, has played a schedule of teams with a combined record of 65-47 (.594) with 6 teams having 8 or more wins. Those 6 teams are still playing football this Friday. Based on the data, Crest has played a tougher schedule with more playoff opponents and, as a result, has more experience in high stakes games. OG has a great record from not playing anyone of note this year. That will show up Friday.

Bunker Hill vs Brevard

The Blue Devil mascot is most likely the kryptonite for BH this year. As much as I want CVAC teams to move on, Brevard's defense might be too stout in this one.

I imagine this will be a close game. I believe Brevard pulls away in the third and wins by two scores...but if it's tied going into the 4th quarter (or within one score) then BH will make it very interesting, not only are they tough at home...but if they are close they catch a second and third wind and always find a way to win.

Brevard 35 - BH 24
We shall see. Not the same team u guys played. Brevard is very good though.
