Okay one of the reasons I was wondering is some of the kids from Newton we're telling their parents, That the coaches said they had no say in it. And the Newton coaches were supposedly telling everybody they were mad that they didn't get this complete the game. So in a nutshell they were telling everybody they had no choice in the final decision that it was made for them. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤔

@CHEERDUCK hey can you go into a little more detail on that Newton game Friday night. If Newton decided not to continue you shouldn't go down as a forfeit 2-0 score. I wouldn't think enough time had elapsed in the game to make it official.

A lot of good teams in Winston this fall. Tabor was solid. EF scrimmage was entertaining. Reagan defeat of Mooresville, was a mild surprise. Should be a great night at Jamieson. Reagan always gives Grimsley fits.

They will win some games. I think they could even come in 2nd in their conference. They won't beat Southern Alamance. But they are looking at starting 0-4. I think they could end up winning 5-6 games.

They have 2 Rivals 4 star O-lineman in PJ Dean and Jalen Morris. Two massive dudes and they know how to use them.

This was a good showing for us. I think it shows what potential is there with this young team without a "true" QB. These sophomores are forced to grow up quickly. This is the only year where I'm a little thankful for our terrible conference. Like 02 said, this will hopefully allow us to work on the passing game and give more experience while winning some games. Our line on both sides played well and our running game is very strong. We just need to have the threat of throwing the ball against the good teams or we will consistently see 8 in the box. This game came down to 3 big plays to me. The two trick plays and the screen pass in the 1st quarter for 75+ yards. I didn't follow every KM game when Lloyd was there, but did he usually have a lot of trick plays? Is pulling those out early in the season an indicator on what he thinks about the offense and where they're at right now? I think we saw that both teams have a lot to work on, but we both seen enough good to keep our hopes up for another strong year.

The 2 most impactful transfers this year is the QB(Riley Horton 6'3 195) from Parkland who is fantastic behind that West Forsyth O-Line and The RB CJ Blevins from Southwest Guilford who is a pure speedster. West lost 26 seniors and a 2200yd. RB who is in college. They also have Glenn's QB as the backup along with other multiple players on defense. You can now rebuild through the portal pretty fast and that's what West has done. West is better than last year.

If they are able to keep their talent from transferring to East they could be really good

If the athletes would stay in the Carver District and play for 1A School. Much better chance to win a State Title.
