I came and watched Shelby/AC play Saturday and Shelby had a few on defense banged up and limping but playing..I didn’t see #14 come back he a good db..

I had confirmed I believed you, but said rule u stated, means Newton did agree to quit and not continue the game. And if Newton coach was upset about quitting all he had to do was not agree to it. Therefore Newton did actually quit and didn't want to continue the beating.

The Davis kid from all accounts is quite a player in that offense. Hopefully he will be back sooner than later.

You're correct. I misspoke. Branson broke his collarbone. It's hard to let go of a two year starting QB who also won a ring. lol

My friend back in Clinton said that most of their parents signed over their parental rights so they could move in with him, and they all live in Raeford and commute daily. Idk if that is true, it’s just what he said.

Down year for SMC. Hit too hard by graduation to compete with the elite teams in 1a. Had a feeling it was coming.

Last year Forest Hills crushed Walkertown at home. We travel up to Walkertown this Friday and it sounds like they've improved from last year's team. Forest Hills is still loaded with talent on both sides of the ball but it's the QB play that's been erratic at times. Too many INTs and Fumbles by both QBs. We gave up two scores against North Rowan due to the QB fumbling at the half yard line and another was an INT inside the 5 when the QB tried to force a pass. Not a fan of the two QB system either. Cost us in the Ashbrook game also. Honestly the JV QB is playing better than these two. Other than the QB issues we have several great receivers, 3-4 good RBs, big linemen etc. Beginning of the year I figured Walkertown would be an easy win but not now.

I don't follow Walkertown all that closely. I recall they had some success when they first opened and the few years after that. Then had a lot of years where they did not do much. I know they are 2-0 but I would expect FH to roll in this one. I can't believe in Walkertown until they beat a team like FH or at least play them close until the end.

Another blowout and boring game most likely. This is not a rivalry game. When was the last time Rockingham won this game? I have asked before why Rockingham can't get their act together in football and have been told it is often politics and parental interference. With the success of Reidsville, it is clear there is plenty of football talent in the county and Rockingham should be better. I have never understood the parental interference thing. Wouldn't they rather their kid not play that much if it means a winning team and program? I would if I was a parent and I have a kid on the team. And maybe that means that kid needs to work a lot harder and get better if he wants more playing time.
