Like crestrulz said, one thing that might help is the weather. Driving almost 3 hrs to play in 20° weather will suck for them. It will also slow our passing game down so who knows. You should definitely be proud of them just as I'm proud of West Charlotte. Many of our kids deal with a lot of adversity.

For those who think Northeastern is the only team passing lots in the east. You need to check out West Craven QB D. Davis 2086 yards passing 26 tds . 565 yards rushing 13 tds. And that's with being injured for basically half the year if he had of stayed healthy no telling what his numbers would of been. The Kid can Spin it and when healthy one of the best athletes on the field always.

That great coach has only lost to Avery once in his career and that was this year. Congrats on scoreboard when the team came in overconfident due to your stellar 1-7 record at the time. Heck sometimes that happens to everybody in coaching but it rarely does under Coach Pitman.

In fact, he was 10-0 previously against Avery with a combined score of 469-111 over that span (thanks to Heels10 website tip above). In fact, Coach Pitman is 113-31 over his career for a .785 win percentage but I guess that is not "great" in Avery county. Two state runner ups in big 1A and couple of west regional runner ups including barely losing to East Surry (one of the best 1A teams ever) in 2019. Call me when Avery ever gets past the first round in the 1A playoffs (now 2A I guess) and believe me that is really not that hard to do.

And by the way, Mitchell JV's won 48-6 this year for their only victory of the shortened season. So how exactly did you wear us out? So keep running your mouth as Avery people always seem to do and congrats on the win this year. I doubt it will happen again anytime soon.
