LOL sounds good to me! But I agree, def a big switch from their old M.O.
This one is about to get out of hand!😀
Looking at the regular season schedules, you have to give
Northeastern credit for 2 decisive wins against 3A opponents Rocky Mount and Greenville Rose.
I would say James Kenan’s wins over Whiteville and. Wallace Rose Hill are solid. A win over East Duplin this year doesn’t carry as much weight as it normally would.
I have already said I hope James Kenan wins but I believe Northeastern should be favored. If JK starts out slow and gets behind a couple of scores it could get out of hand.
Goobs has taken a lot of heat over the years for his optimism. He never fails to call it like he thinks it will be and more than a few times he has been wrong but he keeps supporting his Eagles.
I will say this, when fans start talking amongst themselves they can over inflate certain aspects of their team’s performance and begin to believe their team is better than they really are. Nothing wrong with that, but there may be a day of reckoning- when they step off the bus and catch one in the mouth. I prefer to walk and talk softly, even when my team is having a good year. Some posters don’t and that’s cool because what a boring place it would be if we were all the same.
I think these boards are better when any personal insults/posts are never sent.
My plan for Friday is to be heading home from the deer woods ready to follow all of these games. Such an exciting time of the year.
Let me rephrase that then. Bending and partially broken hoping for a break type of defense. I fixed it. It's sickening to see that because we've always held on to a solid D before we've ever had an O. We used to wonder would EF ever update the O and they did. Just didn't think our second time with a prolific O our D would hemorrhage like it does. Smh.Giving up approx 33/game in the playoffs I don't think constitutes "bend but don't break." Their D is broken. Fortunately for EF, none of their opponents had the defense to take advantage of this. I believe Weddington does.
Mine might be 96 Crest with Shamar Finney and company vs 96 Hickory with Collins and Hunt, etc.... I think some others might think the same way. As a long time fan I was fortunate to see many great teams play in person, with lots of great players and stellar coaches. Lots of great memories.I was just thinking. My dream match would be 2024 Hickory vs 2009 West Rowan. Can only imagine how that game would turn out.
You’re only active in the forum, because Shelby is still playing, and you are hoping and waiting on us to lose, so you can chirp . You normally disappear when Reidsville loses. After we beat you guys in 2021, you fell completely off the grid, to the point that I created a thread to see if anyone amongst Da Ville’s posters knew you, and could possibly do a wellness check on you.Be careful that what you say concurs with what you have said in the past. Also, that what you are saying may not be refuted by your own words in the future. Are you from Missouri?
You can make a case for that but another poster mentioned already this will be the best offense Weddington will have seen to date. It should be interesting. This is the Friday night you wish they had that NFL red zone thing for the NCHSAA 4th round going forward. 😆I think it goes both ways. I believe EF is a more favorable match up for Weddington as well. I still believe the winner of Hough/Grimsley will represent the West.

I believe Weddington does.I say the same. I saw Weddington against West Forsyth and other than some size I wasn't impressed. EF will have an advantage athletically and I believe they can exploit further what West attempted to do. Weddington doesn't overwhelm you offensively either but they don't beat themselves. EF will have to continue to rely on bend don't break defense and see what happens. EF should be able to score on Weddington watching WF move the ball on them before they imploded. I too believe this is a pickem game and said of the 3 teams left in West bracket Weddington would be more favorable match up for East Forsyth.
Don't know many quarterbacks who do like taking hits. Those who can respond mentally to the contact usually get it done.He doesn’t like to get hit. That is the key. That changed the game at Weddington last year.
Absolutely !!! Going to be some good football games. Might even be a surprise or 2.That game at Weddington vs EF and down the street Dudley vs West Charlotte don't look too bad either. It's junkyard dogs from here on out!

Heck I'll come hang out with you Goob. Going to be interesting.Top row20/30 yard line, I’ll be by myself and easy to find. You are more than welcome to sit by me and then you can rub it in the entire game. I’m more confident than you even think I am, facts. The tail between the legs thing is tiring, at least tell the truth. You know we can definitely pull receipts from previous years if need be.

If East can mix up the run and pass they can make this a good game. I think they will have a speed advantage in my opinion. I think Weddington will have the physicality and maybe a size advantage.
definitely gone take all we got and gone take some stuff goin our way! Ne is that good in my opinion. they a great football team fr and the fav to win the east for a reason. But we will be the best team they done seen yet and that counts for somethinI watched it on NFHS Saturday. Seeing it a day later I can say there was still confusion in it. You mention Wallace lining up in an illegal formation but twice it was against JK cause they stepped it off. And one of those times after talking to Motsinger the Ref gave a signal of the penalty being declined. That just added to the confusion you saw on NFHS from a perspective of not being at the game and not being able to hear the Refs description if they gave one. You are correct that there is nobody blaming the refs. It was a damn hard fought game. I enjoyed watching it even though I knew the outcome. Usually that’s not fun to watch. Good luck in Eagle Country this Friday . You’re going to need every thing to go your way. NE is a very good football team. Should be a great game. If plans don’t change I’ll be there.
