It's an uncommon line for Mitchell. They are smaller and quicker than normal. Kinda like 2011. They are deep at the linemen positions, and had some rotational issues early in the season, but after the Andrews game the coaches found the right combo and they've been clicking ever since. The o line has some miscues last week, and got a little rattled in the 2nd quarter, but calmed down and played their game in the 2nd half. Robbinsville's line are bigger, but so was Erwin, Lake Norman, Watauga, and Thomasville. Not a dig at Robbinsville at all, but on film Mount Airy's linebackers look much better than Robbinsville's. The bears were able to limit the carries to 3-5 yards, instead of the 8-10 yards we were accustomed to. I don't Robbinsville's defense will be able to sustain that success all night, and will drop some big plays. On the flip side, I don't think Mitchell's d will contain Willaims and Adams to short gains all night either. I swear, on film AND on paper these 2 look so much alike it's not even funny. 2 factors I see will make the difference.
1-Who inflicts the most damage in the backfield, sacks, tfl qb pressure (LOS play)
2-Who makes the open field tackles and prevents that 30 yard gain from being a 60 yard TD (secondary speed).
These are just my observations.
