Go find another team to root for. You blamed Mickey, daddy ball, coaching and anything else you could think of instead of respecting one of your best ever coaches. You owe him and his coaching staff an apology. Man up and be ashamed..... confess, repent and don't blame him when Hibriten kicks the crap out of you next week. SP overachieved this year...congrats

This could be Mickey's finest coaching season of all. Where SP is now vs earlier this year is no comparison. And we whipped the Crusties when we were the weakest. Isn't it basketball season at Crest? Deal with your own coaching issues.

Just proves you can't think. You will not find a thread where I have ever said anything negative about Mickey Lineberger. You are just like the libtards, seeing and believing things that were never there to begin with. Typical blowhard Crustie.
 
He is a good coach. However he isn't gods greatest gift. Many people don't remember about sp baseball and football that they have good athletes and a lot of times it's not the coaching and they get the credit. Football. Or hard to call the same few plays in a row. I've played before.

Mickey Lineberger is the wisest type of coach. He never rests on his laurels and always preaches hard work. Early season wins and losses don't mean as much as continual improvement. As I have stated before on this forum, if you want to understand the success of South Point football...come watch a practice. South Point practices like a college team. Any team that practices so well is BOUND to get better. Do people really think it is a coincidence that for the last three years SP gets better each week during the crucible of the playoffs? SP is Mickey's team. He is the heat which forges them.
 
SP has been blessed with great coaching and Mickey has been amazing for this program. Even more importantly Mickey and the program have generated a lot of players who have gone on to be good coaches and the future of SP looks good because we have some guys out there who will be involved in coaching this team in the future. Every Raider fan on this site is here because they love the Raiders. Let's enjoy the Raiders success and let this discussion die.

Another idiot!!!!!!!! Any relationship to 9496 or just another with uneducated imposter wanting to input where they have no clue.
 
It's more of the assistants then Mickey. Not taking away from Mickey but .... he always says each year this is the best group I've coached. Was same way in baseball. I played both and have heard the same thing over and over. If you're not a "golden" boy after won them some championships and you see him around town he doesn't bother to ask how college is going or sports after playing at sp. Even family or work he acts like you are a stranger. It's more of the assistants and players that have build sp success of what it is.

Have known Mickey for a number of years and he is a fine man besides being a great coach. Agree that SP has some other coaching talent, but Mickey is the leader and deserves a lot of credit.

Haha not trying to take anything away from him but if haven't played for him and so others can vouch for what I'm saying in my other posts. Haven't been to a game in a few years am thinking about coming Friday but don't wanna jinx us.

Everybody can say what they want, and have their own opinion. It is America. I will say this....from one to another...post144Hall obviously played at SP. We know our own and also know 90% of the RR followers on these boards and in the stands are adoptees. Not saying that's bad, just easy to recognize that if you have been inside the program vs. never been inside it.
Mickey is the best HS OL coach I've seen in the last 20 years. He wasn't always...but in his true nature he grinded and got better. Been doing a lot of the same things/concepts forever. It always takes a village to support and make a program as successful as SPs football and baseball program be the way it's been. It's never 1 man- he or anyone else will tell you that. SP has a GREAT top 3-4 assistants without question. They have plenty of guys who get a free hat and shirt, but about 4-5 coach and do a d$mn good job.

Nah they have gotten better over the season and Hibriten will lose to the mighty Raiders by 7
 
Let me get this right...Hibriten will hang 40 on South Point. WOW! Guess they will get 40 in four quarters against our defense when Lincolnton AND Shelby got 41 in eight quarters. By the way, that all happened when SP's offense was running on a couple of flat tires. Judging from SP's playoff run they have fixed their flats and had the offense undergo a tuneup! Comparative scores can get you into trouble. But a seasons worth of defensive dominance against strong competition leads me to believe that 17-20 points for Hibriten will be tough to achieve. Hope I am correct. The facts to date point to me being so!
