Cleveland County

All 4 teams in different classes would be pretty wild. I just hope they get it right with the conferences. The last 4 years have been terrible.
6A is absolutely brutal for KM.

Justified. Recruit those extra kids....maybe it helped to bump them up another whole class.

We will be alright. We have a ton of talent in the pipeline right now. This year was our rebuilding year. The next few years in a row we are going to be insane. I am not a fan of being on the smaller side when it comes to 6A. Talented programs like Mt. Tabor and Dudley being on the larger side of 6A with the talent they get in can be problematic. You gotta beat somebody to win it.

The smallest 6A is 1209. Seeing KM has much more than that I don't think recruiting had anything to do with it unless KM will field 3 Varsity teams. SMH

Stop it. Kings Mtn doesn’t have one starter who wasn’t with KM last year. KM has 20 of 22 starters that have been with KM since they started high school. One of the two who didn’t was a KM kid who moved to Gastonia and then moved back when his parents bought a home in KM.
SP on the other hand has a couple of starters who played with other programs last year. Your best two db’s aren’t from Belmont. SP has a couple of more transfers on the jv team who moved into district also. SP and Ashbrook were definitely the portal champs in the Big South lol.

Deboredom counts kids whose parents moved them in elementary and middle school as “recruited” kids but doesn’t apply that same logic to South Point. It’s funny and sad at the same time lol.

No I don't. I only count the ones KM robs from other High Schools directly and the ones that they openly recruit directly out of 8th Grade Gaston County Middle Schools. Two of your biggest recruits only lasted one year, and went back home. Good for those kids.

LMAO....ALL the DBs are from Belmont.
The two best have been here since 6th and 1st grade I think?
One that played at a different school last 2 years was at SP as a 9th grader.

No, no, no. Don’t grade yourself on a different scale than you use for everyone else. Use your same measuring logic on yourself. See how that works lol

Yep but his son played at Stuart Cramer last year. Same logic the Deboredom uses for us.
You're wasting your time man. He just lies and makes crap up to suit whatever he wants you to think.

What round would it be for a SP v. Crest matchup?
The playoff matchups they have had over the last few years have been memorable to say the least.

All this is nothing but the old 3A and 3AA garbage if you look at it objectively. Just go to 6 classifications and let the chips fall where they may. So simple, yet the smart people can't figure it out.
Exactly what the NCHSAA wanted for years but the politicians forced this 8 classifications with them putting limits of 64(i think) max teams per classification. As I stated in another post, if schools continue to be built and outgrows the max limit, we would have to go to 9 classifications because of the rule the politicians put in.

No I don't. If you have ever once read anything I've stated....robbing other High Schools (high school aged kids 14-18) and rising 9th graders (leaving middle school).
That's it. No other parameters.
With that said...even if YOU want to add parameters....about 90% of SP team are kids that have lived in Belmont for at least 10 years ...IE their school lives.
If you don't believe that...you can go look at a Belmont Optimist Year book.
In order to know the truth about yalls recruit....you only need the internet. This is a place where they list rosters of players, newspaper articles with players' names and where they lived/who they played for.

You always talk about goalposts moving. Nobody on earth in Belmont is recruiting any kid to come play football there. Your logic is tragically flawed. Do we have mediocre talent or do we recruit? Can't be both.

You silly if you think that SP fans, alums, and other around the program don’t encourage GC kids to go to SP after high school. I know for an absolute FACT it happens. That has always been apart of high school sports. Heck there were SP, Ashbrook, and Hunter Huss fans and coaches all claiming Savion Lindsay last summer but it was only a recruiting problem when he ended up in KM last season after middle school. Why were SP supporters trying to get a Holbrook kid to SP. Is Holbrook Middle in Belmont, I forget? lol. A couple of people even posted in ncpreps that he as coming to their schools lol. As long as it is not a high school coaching staff member trying to actively get a kid to transfer to their school and/or the transfer is legal than who cares? No one knows every families situation. Families moving happens in all high school sports, kids/parents wanting to play with those likeminded kids and parents. I would venture to say that is probably the most common scenario. Or kids trying to escape horrible football situations for themselves. If I am a passing qb who aspires to play on the next level then why would I go to SP? If I am 3rd string and the two guys in front of me has a dad on the staff than why would I stay there if I can play? Families do what’s best for them and their children. The majority of the time coaches don’t know who kids are until they show up. It’s only a problem when kids leave GC county for CC. The transfers of athletes between the GC programs do not go unnoticed when no one in GC complains about that. GC has always had a long history of player movement. Again SP has forfeited games for using ineligible players before, KM has not.
Recruiting is coaches or someone connected to the program actively pursuing or enticing kids to come to their program. GC needs to police some of their OWN assistant coaches is all I will say to that. SP is the only team in Gaston and Cleveland Co that has a travel ball coach on staff and that is for a reason. Your pipeline is dried up after this junior class so y’all need to do what y’all need to do. Overall what happens in CC and GC is small potatoes compared to what happens in other parts of the state. You just been in the basement way too long.

I have no dog in this fight.

But I know that part of the problem with that RB is he was telling people these things. He also played popwarner in Belmont at least for a year. It's also hard for Gaston County folks to understand how kids from Holbrook end up in Kings Mountain.

I understand your other parts with passing QB's and such.

I'm interested about these assistant coaches and travel ball coaches on staff though. You don't have to name names, but can we get a school color 🤣

Town of residence isn't always relevant. Mt. Holly supplies the majority of Cramer, a town is doesn't even border. In addition, parts of Lowell, all of McAdenville feed Cramer which are in Holbrooks lines.

When you say SP "supporters"... don't mistake it with wanna be coaches or people trying to use some kid to get some footing in that program. If it's a local church parishioner that coaches MS athletics....that's not an SP insider.
Again....who and where are these kids transferring into Gaston County Schools for athletics? I thought GACO athletics sucked? But, now we have people WANTING to come here? WHO is a travel ball coach on SPs team? I know all those guys- not one of them is a travel ball coach.... certainly not Football or Basketball. None of them brought any kids to that team. Somebody has spun a yarn for you.
That "pipeline" you talk about (those juniors) are the same kids that have been together for over 10 years. Yes they have beaten most teams during that time.

I love how you talk about that one bench warmer kid that transferred in from Ashbrook, lied about running track at a couple meets in the spring, and then got SPs wins forfeited that next fall. The Admin didn't do their due diligence to check it....that was another time 20 years ago but that is what you always come back to. Why don't you just admit you can't understand how a bunch of suburban kids consistently beat you and your teams most years?

I believe I already mentioned where the travel ball coach is. I like him a lot though and it doesn’t surprise me that kids want to follow him. The team he had not quite two years ago was absolutely loaded. Those kids are sophomores now and spread out all over the region. Hough, Weddington, Providence Day, South Point, Cramer, Huss, Ashbrook, North Gaston, Rock Hill, Northwestern, JM Robinson, Kings Mountain, West Charlotte, South Pointe Rock Hill, York, Forestview just from the top of my head.
The other assistant coaches are primarily located in Gastonia high schools lol

I’ve never said SP had a bad program and have given them plenty of credit. I respect SP’s football program. I respect SP’s coaches and coaching. Go find a post of me disparaging SP football. My issue is with YOU and other SP fans like you and your bs. Also the first forfeit wasn’t a benchwarmer. Kid was all conference in three sports at three different schools lol. Try again.

Dude....I'm seriously starting to question your sanity. The kid who transferred in 20 years ago....and caused forfeits...he wasn't any 3 sport athlete. There are ZERO travel football or basketball coaches on SP football staff. You should have an issue with me because I say the truth while you make up stuff. You report lie after lie and obviously know "what you hear" about SP athletics instead of what 10,000 people KNOW. WHERE are all these SP recruits? WHO are they? WHO recruited them? This fantasy travel football coach you speak of...did he do it? Was Bigfoot involved? Did they ride Santa's sleigh in every day to school or did they purchase a house in Belmont? If they purchased a house in Belmont in the last 5 years....they're probably a millionaire's kid so we don't need them in the football program.

This will be the last playoff in a while that 2 teams from the county could face off in later rounds. Next year we all represent the County in our own classes. Handle business tonight. 4-0
It's a little exciting. I think every school is in a good position over the next several years to do some damage in the playoffs.
