I’m just glad they’re not doing it on here.Kids talk so much trash on social media and then cannot back it up. If most kids or teams were as good as they thought they were they would undefeated and world beaters. Talks Cheap, Action Speaks!
Don't know the score, but Lexington JV is really bad and has small numbers. THS JV is pretty decent and the middle school was 5-3 so the future could be bright for them in the realignment at 2A.Is it true a Thomasville JV won 52-0 last night?
Saw on highschoolot that were predicted to be in 3a. Also saw them being in a split 3a/4a conference with Ledford and north DavidsonDon't know the score, but Lexington JV is really bad and has small numbers. Thomasville may be on the upper end of 2A. Guess it’s possible they could be at the very bottom of 3A.Saw on highschoolot that were predicted to be in 3a. Also saw them being in a split 3a/4a conference with Ledford and north Davidson
We definitely shouldn’t be in a split conference with north, Ledford, and central.Thomasville may be on the upper end of 2A. Guess it’s possible they could be at the very bottom of 3A.
Last year’s numbers were Thomasville 592, Ledford 828 and North 925.
Thomasville has lost students (last year they lost 48) every year for some time. I can’t imagine it’s different this year. If we get down under 570, I think we’re definitely in 2A and probably with some of the Randolph County schools.
I seen a projected list based on last years numbers for realignment from the wrestling coaches association. It is not the deciding list but is relevant because all leagues will be based on ADM and location. THS is either 2a or 3A based on what the cutoff is finalized at when the NCHSAA gets all the ADM's. That has been delayed due to the mountain school still locating kids and getting back open to gather an ADM.Went back and looked at the projection Hon Dines did a few months ago using the NCHSAA posted criteria (about 64 schools per classification). It had us in 4A as the seventh smallest school with 592. The smallest in that class was North Rowan at 572. The largest in 4A was 760.
Ledford was safely in 5A and North in 6A in Don’s forecast.
If Thomasville loses 20-30 or more students, we could be down in 3A. That would be tough geographically with South Davidson, Bishop McGinness, Albemarle and Starmount being the closest 3Ateams.
Dont think you will see that tonight. Is it true a Thomasville JV won 52-0 last night?
Not sure about the Ledford numbers. The NCHSAA website showed them at 838 for 2023-24. If they are mid-700’s, they’ve lost a lot of kids. If they are around 838, they and North would be two classifications above us (based on no more than 64 per class) and would be unlikely to be with Thomasville in a split conference. Don’s projections were based on 55 teams in each with 57 in 1A. There are also a few new schools. What they do with charters will also affect it. There has also been talk of a Big 32, with the 32 largest by themselves. That would of course increase the other seven classifications.I seen a projected list based on last years numbers for realignment from the wrestling coaches association. Ledford, East and West are all in the lower to middle 700's. THS, Trinity, ER, PG, NR are all between 570-700. I predict two major options for THS. A split 2A/3A with Ledford, ED, WD, Trinity, Wheatmore, ER and PG. Or a 1A/2A split similar to the old YVC (1A's SD, C Central, 2A's Albemarle, S Stanly, N Moore, N Rowan).
Problem is the outlier schools that offer football and the other major sports that are unique in size to their county. Chatham Central 1A 340, SD 1A 345, N Moore 600+, N Rowan 570+ are all outliers that have to go somewhere within a few counties away. There are tons of charters but very few offer football so they will "likely" be put in leagues together. I think the best league for THS is the split 2A/3A with good local travel and gates. As for SD, who knows where they end u up with 343 kids and stuck like chuck with few options.
Two points to the home team.Simmons is picking Lexington by 15. If I remember his system correctly, he gives three points to the home team.
Could be. Haven’t gotten an update since half.Heard it was
Thomasville 20
Lexington 10

This true?
Day 10 2024 ADM's from the county school website. Day 20 will be used for the actual ADM by the NCHSAA so I wouldn't suspect any of them to off by more 5-10 kids either way. I am not sure where those kids are going, but they are all losing kids except CD, ND and OG.Not sure about the Ledford numbers. The NCHSAA website showed them at 838 for 2023-24. As an aside, just a very few years ago, East was above 1,000. Where the heck are all the kids going? Sure isn’t Thomasville.

When you allow the other team to put ten in the box, you have to make them pay. Not trying to pile on, but everything this season was predictable based on the coach search process. I hope this staff grows. It could start with heeding the advice of a Hall of Fame coach.Definitely should have won this game. From what I saw we are definitely the better team athletically even after losing all those seniors last year. Play calls and formations is what separated these two teams
Good for the gate if nothing else.It wouldn’t surprise me to see Tville, East, Ledford and West in the same conference.
