Thomasville at Albemarle

Just looking at the weather. Looks like most teams may not get another practice in unless its inside. Tomorrow is 50% rain, but guess what. Friday night looking pretty good. Only 20% chance of thunderboomer and mostly party cloudy. Most field should be pretty wet though. Might favor some teams and not others.

All Albemarle fans. Be sure to watch the Concord/Kannapolis game on TWC tonight at 7:30. We can get a look at who we play next week. Concord.

Hope Mike is doing well. Never forget the time Mike and Thsfan (Kenny) met up with myself, Bluebones and Tyler Lewis's dad in Denton for lunch during that great run in the early 2000 to discuss football. Thomasville and Albemarle from 2001-2004 were about as evenly matched as any two teams could be. Great, great games.

Excellent article! @ITJ. Man those where the days! Crowd of 7,000 +, no where to sit and tension in the air. I was senior in the stands that year when T.Davis ran a muck on 51 touches. But something told me that 2001 was our year. It would take Thomasville to break our streak, if not, their would have been at least "9" banners hanging on the game clock.

Albemarle vs T-Ville has to be one of the best rivalries in high school football in NC.

Hey guys, Curcio's annual football preview edition of all four county schools is in todays edition of "The Snap"

You can also go to the Thomasville Times and read their football edition and get a little more information on this years Thomasville team.

Just read a little up on them and got a glance of the key players. And by taking a look at the backfield...man, I hope they can hold up 4 quarters is all I can say....Our D-Line is pretty big across. T-Ville may take a pounding.

I am showing T-Ville to only have 13 on their roster on maxpreps. Does anyone know how many they will field tomorrow?

I remember that 2003 regular season game, when the ref said the tville QB didn't cross the goal line,I'd like to see that video tape, sure looked like he was in to me

He may or may not have been in. It doesn't really matter. All that counts is what the refs rule. Happen to us at Starmount in 96. We clearly had film that showed our guy crossed the goal twice, but the refs wouldn't call him in. Just part of the game. Good calls and bad calls.

I heard the Kannapolis vs. Concord was a good game. And from what I heard, we might as well take this lump next week.

Anyway,

Simmions has Albemarle winning by 11 against T-Ville.

Here it is guys. Football Friday Night, Boys of Fall, Thomasville vs Albemarle, smell of popcorn, The NCC. This is what I look forward to all year long. High School Football. To an old man it just doesn't get much better than this. Go Blue Dogs!!

I'm not sure if I should roll up in there off a bottle of "Creek Water" or not! I can't wait to see the dogs and their new offense tonight. Go Blue!

Come on up to the press box sway. Supposed to have some posters from Tville coming up before the game.

Doubtful. I may try to do a visit to your pregame then sneak in to watch a little of SS and West. South has more speed than the last two years had. Their j.v. won 24-0 last night. As for you guys, Alb. will win by 14. (To score 60, you'll have to give up 46 points to keep my prediction valid.) :)

Come on up nipit. Nice to hear about SS. Really don't know how my dogs will play tonight. Probably be a lot of hiccups in the backfield, but that comes with learning a new offense. Weather is looking good so should be a great night of high school football. Hope we have a good turnout. Crowds have been slim last few years. Go Dogs

P.S. I've been trying to keep it calm so as not to offend any JM fans but I can't find any. At least ya'll got somebody to talk too!

The No Class Club usually meets to the right of the press box. They have been known in younger days to join up under the bleachers for a Pall Mall or Viceroy at half time. I would advise you to not stumble walking up the stadium steps. Rumor is that NIPIT (aka Barney Fife) might be patrolling undercover tonight prior to kickoff. If that is the case, I wouldn't try to spike the water cooler...if you know what I mean.

These guys are so old that in their younger days they just smoked right in the stands. JK. Good luck tonight

Buddy, I'm still around. We need to have another Denton summit soon. Thanks to everyone for the compliments about my column.
