The Rematch Whiteville at Northeastern

Question for goob …… what happened to the rest of your goal post uprights?
your guess is as good as mine, I've always wondered why they we're like that, That was a good question Thanks for being up here on this forum and actually talking about the big game tomorrow. It's unfortunate that the JK and Swo posters have hijacked it, I sure would've loved to interact some with you guys from Whiteville and I know I'm not alone. Also, wait till you see the crowd tomorrow night. Whether your here or watching a livestream. The Eagles Nest will be packed to capacity and it's gonna be crazy, All the respect in the world for the Whiteville fb program. It's a program I pull for when they are not competing against our Eagles or another conference team. Wolfpack is definately a team on the rise and they won't be overlooked tomorrow night. That I can promise you. Go Eagles and the QBK's

Definitely won't be packed, definitely not a big time game lol. You can't make this stuff up. Whiteville is a huge underdog, will take a perfect game and some for them to keep it close. The goalpost are all jacked up cause NE is not a serious football program. The coach is like yourself, had no idea the goal post are Pop Warner size.

Are the goal posts up to HS standards, I don't know, just asking a question for the group, seems like that could be a problem in a game of this magnitude if its close??

Heres what I found, looks like they have some quick work to do to me:
Your goal posts should have an inside width of 23 feet, 4 inches, matching college and NFL requirements. The crossbar should sit 10 feet above the playing field, ensuring a clear and measurable target for kickers.

  • Overall Height: The posts extending above the crossbar should be at least 20 feet tall.
  • Post Diameter: The outside diameter of each post should not exceed 4 inches.
For your note-taking or field setup document:

ComponentSpecification
Inside Width23 feet, 4 inches
Crossbar Height10 feet
Post Diameter4 inches maximum
Minimum Post Height20 feet above crossbar

Said this years ago when we played at NE. But didn't have the equipment to measure them. Their coach, AD, and fanboy goober didn't even know they had requirements for the goalpost. You can't make this stuff up.

Not if the White Hat gives approval.

The white hat can get over ruled. Have you guys never played a down of football lol You see the rules, if they are under the numbers, definitely will and can be a protested. In life you have to follow the rules lol goober and Otis must be above the law. Can't make this stuff up lol

Is the game on Nfhs tonight Goob? I'm sick and can't make it. As Oldway mentioned above, it shows the game will be live at 7. If not, who's streaming it?
I was told that Whiteville has brought their NFHS cameras or ever whatever it takes to get the game live. I was messaged this last night when I saw the game posted on NFHS. Do you have an account @GoBertie ? If you don’t send me a message on Instagram @343Paints_camdencountync and I’ll hook you up so you can watch it.

He can’t get over ruled by anybody at the game when he takes that field. He is in charge. You can protest the game later but they’re going to question the officials. Did they look at the goal post and were they OK if there’s a problem with the post, he would bring it up to both coaches. Whiteville didn’t have a problem with it last year dumbass. It would take coaches raising an issue would go post before anybody would question it not a bunch of messageboard dumbasses.

Yeah tbh as ugly as they look I don’t see that being a genuine problem to the point where a game or something is played over or something like that the most they’ll do is contact the AD and make them change them, but their not the only school with short field goal post.

Geez, not shit it would have to be the coach. Who said anything about Message board dumbasses having a say in a protest. You and goober, my friend are special

Not sure if the message board DA was directed at me, however , if the standard is 20 feet and they aren't 20 feet it seems like a problem to me, call me a DA if you want to but that's how we look at things in Columbus County. Let's say one team or another is down by 2 and kicks a FG over the top of the upright but not 20 feet and the ref's decide its not good, but it's very close, if the 20 ft upright was there it could have bounce back, in or out, but we will never now BECAUSE the upright is not up to standard, this coming from a Columbus Co DA.

Dude this is highschool ball, I don’t think you have a kicker that will decide the game. Like I get your point, but be realistic.

No, that really wasn’t meant for you. Did the Whiteville coaches complain about the goal post last year?

No! Because it’s a silly excuse
Well I agree. Both teams are playing on the same field. Looking forward to the game. Going to be interesting to see if Whiteville can control the clock and pace of this game. That will be crucial to them. Everyone knows what NE is going to do.
