Shelby vs RS Central Updates

I can see both sides. We all have busy lives and we all have priorities and things that must be done. Jobs putting us on the road at 6am and home at 6pm during the week, kids in school, kids playing sports...life is incredibly busy.

But as for any of the three....you cut us and we bleed gold. We're there at home, we're there on the road, we're there on Thursday nights mentoring to the players. Hard to fathom the possibility of missing a game...a kind off depression sets in if a scheduling conflict is going to put us away from the Golden Lions on a Friday night. We're almost always all three (with families in tow) there (one or two may miss a game a season) but I could not tell you the last time at least one of us wasn't at a Shelby game...Go Lions!

Terry if anybody is a true fan it is you. I remember the days of youth ball. Its literally like having a second job and I know your day job is not walk in the park. I think it brings up the bigger question of games being streamed. I am certainly not opposed to it but with such strapped HS budgets I was surprised years ago when it started. I think Freedom is the only school that will not allow it. Of course games have been on the radio since the 70s and I spent many a Friday night as a youngster with Andy and Dan. As for the game...no shocker that Shelby won but the margin I was a little surprised about . I figure it could have been worse as backups got a lot of time.

It's not like the school is paying for it

But the schools are missing out on the gate....

I don't think so, it's not different than radio/tv broadcast of a college or NFL game. People who want to be there in live action will be there. Alot of alumnus don't even live in the same area as their alma mater. Many live in different states and have busy lives as mentioned before.
