I would have loved matchup with Shelby, actually I think the Horses would have played a much better game. You're banking everything on 1 loss. I remind you Clinton beat Northside 35-15 in regular season and it really wasn't that close. Remember Shelby's time will come, and we'll remind you with every loss
I remind you the regular season is irrelevant come playoff time. No need to remind us of what happened in the regular season, the more recent event that occurred is the more relevant one, obviously.
The BETTER TEAM progresses throughout the season. The BETTER TEAM won the game that mattered at your place, and saved your one dimensional team an epic beat down at the hands of Shelby, no one ran the ball on us. Your biggest strength played into one of our biggest strengths, which was stopping the run. A beat down would have been a given, and I would have given you hell about it on this board. I remind you, towards the end of the regular season, since you love talking about the regular season, I was willing to give you 14 points, assuming that your Dark Horses would handle "binezz", but we all know how that played out.
I'm sure our time will come, but man, doesn't it feel great to be a back to back to back to back state champion, try saying "back to back to back to back" fast, Wiz. One last reminder, Northside 21 Clinton 14, in the playoffs, the game that mattered. They advanced to the state championship. You guys went fishing.

You certainly know nothing about the 2017 DarkHorses. You know something about history though and you know what 2016 is history just like 1997 is history. I bet you remember that year when Clinton beat your coming down from 3A Golden Lions. I've read over the years from some of the knowledgeable Shelby posters it was one of your best teams. I'm just going on facts, the fact that Northside beat you in the playoffs. You had no injuries, you had your all world DE back, and you were beaten on your home field. That's a fact, right? What game do you think was more meaningful to the actual players and coaches, a regular season game or the game to advance to the state championship? Be logical.
And, there you go with your infatuation with '97, a year today's Clinton players weren't even living. And, why do you conveniently leave out 2014, the year we beat you guys down, whenever you're contradicting yourself, and bringing up history? I can easily find the 2014 game in google, 1997 may take a little digging. Smh. By the way, your '97 Clinton was the best team regardless of classification that year, in my opinion. Happy New Year!

Would love to see Brevard have a series started up again with Shelby. We'd get beat like a drum but I'd still want it to happen.
Schools are way too far apart to schedule regular season games but man a Reidsville/Shelby hookup every year would be of some interest I would think...........
he's terrific on both sides of the ball...Made the all area (Greensboro New and Record) and all state (2A) team....Very disruptive on the D side of the ball...but he made the O side as all-stater....Good size...6'3"....305...and he can move.....I'm not a UNC fan but I hope he gets a chance.........................

That game would have had a different outcome had we not spent the night. Was way closer than the score. We were driving to go up midway in the 4th. We were on about the Clinton 35. It was 4th and 1. We false started and couldn't convert the 4th and 6. Clinton then got two quick scores resulting in the final score. This is why we never have spent the night since. Man we were good....wish we could go back and play that one.

And Will Stites, I've seen that young man be a tackling machine since elementary school. I used to wonder if he and Dax were the same size, who'd be better. We were hell at linebacker this past season, the same group returns next season.

I wish Lincolnton and Shelby would start scheduling each other again. Never understood why we stopped playing each other after 2012.
The 9 team conference Shelby has played in probably had a lot to do with that.
Shelby will only be in a 6 team league starting in 2017 but 3 out of their 6 nonconference games will be Burns, Crest and KM which makes it harder to make room for Lincolnton. And the Wolves will once again be in an 8 team league.
IMG need 9/29 and would pay them a good financial deal plus room and board to come to Florida.
Shelby need a game and is a good team plus IMG need the same date and is willing to pay at least $10,000 plus room and board for them to come to Florida and be on ESPN. You can't beat that if you want to play a good team to see where you are compared to IMG. IMG only won at Bishop Sullivan in Virginia Beach by 16-6 and Shelby is a lot better than Bishop Sullivan.
Come on guys. I respect Shelby and their players, but your talking about the premier prep program in the US. 4 and 5 star ESPN 300 kids across the board. Could some of Shelby's players match up...Yeah. Win.... That's another animal entirely. No disrespect at all
Dude was being sarcastic. There was a Shelby vs Cleveland Browns thread during the playoffs, remember? We don't need the Cleveland Browns or IMG for good games. We have South Point, AC Reynolds, Kings Mountain, and Crest for that.
