Shelby @ Burns - Week 4

Adams and Phillips should be on the field at the same time, we should be running a 2rb system featuring our 2 best offensive players!!

Agreed! Omar is a great back, he’s a bruiser. Adams is fast and elusive, he definitely needs more touches, though, whether it’s in relief duty, change of pace, or whatever. Someone standing near me, pointed out Adams looking frustrated on the sideline, not getting carries.

Add Tyler Arrington. I was very impressed with him, he’s strong and elusive, has great feet. I’m looking forward to him updating his Hudl, so I can see a replay of him shaking all those Burns defenders on the sideline and scoring. He had no real estate, but shook them, as they were all in a phone booth. If this was a normal season, he’d be on pace to go over a 1000 yards receiving.

I think we can all agree that as of right now, neither Burns nor Shelby is a Top 5 team. It was a sloppy game throughout. However, I think the pieces are there for both to be there at the end of the year. Burns' defense has really impressed me this year. Offense still needs a lot of work. We're not gonna win shootouts this year.

All this “receivers can’t get open talk”, was always previously called, “the quarterback is holding onto the ball for too long. Now, you don’t even see it mentioned. Yes, he was under duress much of the game, but there were also plays last night, when the young man had time to grill burgers, and still took huge sacks. He does that against KM with Day Day Wilson, Javari Wilson, and company,.... Let’s just say, he best get rid of the ball, make a business decision. Definitely shorten the routes for this game, and no, Chopper, I’m definitely not a coach. But, KM has some thumpers on that D. I was very impressed with the Bulldog defense as well.
I agree 100 percent.I do believe Gash not playing really hurt our oline last night but the Mounties are a whole different animal coming in Saturday. But it is only March and we usually don't get going till April.

Shelby, Burns, Hibriten, Oak Grove, Salsibury, and North Davidson are probably the top 2AA teams. And it's very possible Salsibury doesn't make the playoffs.

I think Salisbury might be done unfortunately. A chance Shelby could go small

2a is not that deep to say that. Burns is probably still top 5

I don't know the exact rules but there are going to be limited Wildcards this year. The only way to for sure make the playoffs is come in 1st or 2nd in a conference. In Conferences like Burns and Salisbury's a good team is going to be left out more than likely.

It would be a good time for someone to explain it to us.I know the total teams is cut in half.

Please share the link when available.

I must admit, Kings Mountain scares me. The coaches better figure out something quickly.

I am not trying to piss anyone off with this statement.
No need to be scared against KM. Be prepared to accept that they are on a level above you. They are beastly on defense. Expect to be beaten, badly.

Maybe beaten but don't know how bad, they haven't faced a really good team yet, and I wanna see just how good the offense is, we all know there D is steller.
But they better make there run this year cause from things I've seen well is pretty dry all way back into middle school.
Shelby needs to make adjustments this week and go out with nothing to loose in this game.

I think there is 1 wildcard team from east and west... I want to say I seen though that will only be 1 team for both big and Small class but can’t find that info for sure at this minute

If just one play sticks out that made the biggest difference in the game this is it. I think it was 3rd and 12 and guy made the entire Burns defense miss.

That was really good.Highlights for me was big 44 rumbling down the field for the td,a good view of receiver being down and not a fumble, and the whole team and coaches yelling at 19 to get down and finally 21 tackling him to end the game.

Yes they are and for a team having a hard time blocking it would be helpful for the time being to have the extra dimension in the backfield. Once our O line gets up to speed then go back to the one back set. Also both of those two are very good receivers too so we have that option as well.

No these teams are blitzing, we need short screens dump over middle things Gabe can get rid of the ball inless then 2-3 sec, not going back and sending rec. 25 yards down...Burns Blitzed and That's all KM will do, hope coaches get things turned around.
All the talent is there, just gotta develop it

Have you watched KM this year? Very little blitzing. Gets pressure with front 4 pretty regularly.
