Son: Well you know how good that kid I wrestle over there is? , We were going back and forth, I nearly had him on his back a couple times, but then he basically choked me out, I dont remember much after that
Me: Well did you get pinned
Son: I aint sure
Me: So you dont know if you won or lost?

Anyway to the game:

Going to be a great game... Ill say Shelby by 6 but Burns is scary, real scary..... Either way I plan on being in Winston next week to see either of them play

The dogs defense pin their ears back and go after Bess. They stop Shelby on their first possession. Burns goes back down the field and Leslie catches the TD pass to go up 2 TD’s. Shelby continues to fight and stay in the game. It’s getting late in the second half and Kujuan is just chugging along over 250 yards, shelbyfan1 is literally floored because they cannot contain him in the playoffs. Wilbanks freaks because he hasn’t had his back on the wall as a coach yet. Jahari tried to go in the Dogs locker room at half time to change uniforms and that’s a big no! Devine uses his experience from deep playoff games with Shelby and plays some game management. Chargerforever might have to work all night because the town of Lawndale could be burned to the ground, heck maybe Shelby because they can’t believe Burns won the west, ended their longest home winning streak in school history and go on to play in wake forest. Kujuan goes for over 275 and 3 TD. Sweezy does just enough to get the job done and keep that defense from stacking the box. Setzer forces the huge turnover late in the game and in the mighty jungle, the lion will sleep tomorrow night! Burns wins a hard nose game 35-27

Its no secret Shelby across the board is better. Burns isnt a slouch and has the best player on the field. However Shelby does have the athletes to "contain him" I see Shelby pulling away with this one late. Burns has to play flawless. No bad turnovers, no special teams breakdowns and maybe gotta have a guy make a play that he usually doesnt make to give us a shot in the end. Win OR LOSE. I want them to decide it and the zebras not to ruin this one like we stated earlier. Ill be watching on youtube tonight, down with strep throat.

Has to be the biggest game in Cleveland county high school football history. There have been some big games before, even state championships in the 80s, but none pitted two Cleveland county teams against each other with a state championship trip on the line.

The American Legion world series is a huge sporting event for the county but this ranks right there with it if not even higher.

Absolutely it's been a fun year! If you'd told me at the start of the year Burns would be 12-2 and playing for a 2AA Western final, I'd took it in a heartbeat
