I hope you know what you're asking for....
Gentlemen I used to be a poster on this site but after biggestblue passed away several years ago I stepped aside for 10+ years. Some of you remember him, but I have kept up with the 2a forum over the years. Thereās no doubt about it that the state title runs through Shelby and Reidsville, but I can honestly say that this game between Salisbury and Maiden Will have a big say do in it. Salisbury returns a very and I mean a very talented team, Maiden learned a big lesson last year and realized that you have gotta be tougher at the line of scrimmage. In my opinion this game will come down to who has the most Will and determination. As biggest blue used to say, āLet the Smoke Rollā
I remember when you played for Maiden Grizzly, wait until you see the field Friday night.
Please tell me we're bringing back the checkerboard endzone!!!
I favor them, too, unfortunately. Theyāre very athletic, and like Reidsville, they have a great coach. Youāre the closest thing they have of a poster on here. They have no one besides you to hype them up, so many in the 2A forum donāt know how badass they are. It wouldnāt surprise me if they were to beat Salisbury by two scores, if they were to play. Salisbury hasnāt played anyone. Donāt get me wrong, theyāre obviously very good, though. How good is the question.

I wish Maiden and Monroe could have played this year earlier...when that fell through we added Christ School on like Thursday and played Friday...but we were so ready to go to Monroe

I remember they had 1 or 2 posters in 3A when they were in that conference with Catholic and Weddington, even when there were in the same conference as 2A.
They sometimes beat Catholic and Weddington like how Shelby sometimes beat KM and Crest, which says alot for them as their conference can be as tough or tougher than the Big South 3A.
I think Gates open at 6. I'd definitely be in line by 630.
And I have Maiden by 1....either way, if that's the kind of game we all get to see. LORD have mercy on my blood pressure

Looks like low 40ās by kickoff time. Dress warm. I may even wear a mask just to keep my face warm. Iām cold nature. Lol. I also think a close game. Even Salsibury Post suggesting for fans to get their early. Canāt wait until kickoff time.

Why doesn't the NFHS show this game. It's not on the agenda to show it. Is there another place to watch it. I have the radio links but would rather watch the game?

Good luck to the Maiden Blue Devils and their super fans Maiden Creek and Grizzly Devil.
It will be awfully hard to beat the Hornets but I truly believe if Maiden can keep it close they have a good chance of winning at home. Seems to me like Maiden teams are energized by their fans more so than others.
Cheerduck made a good assessment but intangibles can come into play if the game is tight and I think that favors Maiden.
I like the Hornets, too, and thinking back, everybody I've known from Salisbury was okay. I especially like the name of their high school's address. Nobody can top that.
Should the Devils win, Christmas would come in November for the blue planet.

I'm curious...Have the Salisbury starters had to play a full 4 quarters at all this year? I wanna say ours have twice, maybe three times. Will be something to consider if it's tight late.
Goob is always watching š. I have a vested interest in this game. I donāt want to make any predictions because Iāve been wrong almost every time. Im most definitely pulling for the Blue Devils.
