Round 3: Burns vs Salisbury

I seen where Wells of Salisbury finished up with over 2,000 yrds for the season with 35 TDs. And only RB at Salisbury high to have over 2,000 yrds in a season. Congratulations to the young man

He played a heck of a game tonight. The best RB that Burns has seen all year and it's not even close. He got 3-5 yards basically every time he touched the ball.

Was honestly figuring they’d come out in second half and just try to run it down our throats with him. He was a work horse no doubt.

I apologize because I’m originally the one that accused him of being a fan or coach so that’s on me. I agree now that he definitely wasn’t a coach with other post he made. With that said, the Hornets played a damn good game tonight. I didn’t expect a blowout either way and got treated to some good football tonight in Lawndale. Congrats to your Hornets on a great season. #6 is special. I would like to see this become a yearly rivalry during non conference. No personal fouls tonight by either team and a lot of respect shown throughout by both teams.

It wasn’t our best game but we found a way to get it done at the end. We needed a game like this. We hadn’t trailed since Salisbury. The “no energy” crowd needs to stop and give some credit to the Hornets. Their front four gave us fits. No one said it would be easy. I agree, we probably had a bit of a letdown. Shelby was not our championship.

Also, I don’t appreciate players being called out on here even if they were in the wrong. There is a better way to handle it. Maybe talk to the coaches and stop bashing them on here. It will be a tough one next week but we can get it done.

With that said, nobody said a damn word when Shelby players were missing and pages of conversations went back and forth. Had a name or number been mentioned I would fully support what you said but just saying A Player isn’t crossing the lines at all. I’ll be in KM supporting them next week against EL. Burns needed a tough game, they have not had one except for Watauga due to the very weak conference that we and Shelby are currently stuck in. Proud of the kids for getting the W and perhaps a little more perspective as to what they are facing in future games.

Backs against the wall and a 90 yard drive to win it. Was worried this would happen…low energy. Very let down by #3 for burns. Terrible display of being a teammate. If anyone noticed when he finally hit sidelines and people was running down hill we could. Salisbury D line was too quick on the ends to try to bounce it every single play. 3-4 yards on ever play will win the game. Take it.

We will take the win and get ready for Monroe. They will be another athletic team that’s playing good. Go dogs.

Glad you enjoyed them, they are called strobe pots. I have had them for a while now just been looking for the right time to use them.
