Not just a great ambassador, him and Hal Mumme literally changed football at every level. College football’s only pirate. Swing your sword up there coach!
He took the Tennessee job to when AD John Currie secretly flew out West and offered him the job. Chancellor found out called Currie and stopped it. Currie got fired Fulmer hires Pruitt.
I listen to the Sports Animal 99.1 App while I’m working. Vol Fan called into Josh and Swain show and talking about how he is good friends with Leach from the Keys. Said he had texted with Leach 4 days ago. He talked about how Leach told him he accepted the TN job. There a bar in the Keys that Leach went to a lot that has his name on the bar stool.
A great coach and college football's greatest character. Developer of the Air Raid offense along with Mumme, but even he says it was Leach's baby.

Leach was the offensive line coach and was the one who first started tweaking the splits of the line to see how it affected the timing of the pass rush. Sometimes his line seemed to be split from hashmark to hashmark (kidding but also not)
He truly was an original and though known for the Air Raid he was also a big fan of the Wishbone and took many concepts from it to integrate with the Air Raid passing system.
He will truly be missed in the coaching community and football as a whole.
