It's a little tricky to find because it's located in the back corner of an industrial park that hasn't been developed yet, so you ride thru trees and fields for a while and feel like you definitely must've took a wrong turn somewhere along the way. Trust your GPS on that one. Also, CMS did finally put up a couple of signs on NC-51, so at least you now know you're in the right area.

Other than that, the stadium is new and nice and sits right off of I-485. The field is artificial turf and, breaking from long-standing CMS policy, the seating is not really segregated like it is at some other CMS schools. The first parking lots you'll come to are quite a ways from the field, so it might be worthwhile for you to drive around the school and park in the closer lots on the backside of the school. It's a pretty decent hike from the first lots.

The home announcer is ridiculously annoying (which is part of the fun of a road trip), their speaker system could use an upgrade, and the school is located not far at all from US-74, which means plenty of good eats along the way. Enjoy the trip!

ALSO...coming INTO the city during Friday afternoon rush hour shouldn't give you too much of a problem. You darned sure wouldn't want to be trying to go in the other direction at that time, though.

I don't remember having that much trouble finding it a couple of years ago. It does feel right at home for the Rockingham Rockets in the Richmond crowd. Same colors, same "R" logo, and they even call their stadium "The Rock".

First game under a new coach, and being that it's the beginning of the year with working out the kinks. RR probably should've won this game, though. Anson will be ready to defend their turf against Richmond, so they better hit the practice field hard, look at mistakes on film, and come out more focused and prepared. Anson will be no walk in the park. Better enjoy it this year, no telling if the Raiders and Bearcats will play annually after realingment.
