Reidsville-Northern Guilford updates

Unless something has changed, the seeding for playoffs is based on 10-game schedule and teams can delete one non-conference game from record. So if Reidsville can sweep the conference, they will have the 10-0 seeding record. Note that among Mid-State 2-A Conference teams, Bartlett Yancey picked up its second win last night and Graham had an impressive score in its victory.

Correct - second team offense fumbled and Northern returned to Reidsville 8. But Reidsville first team defense returned and it took a 4th-down-and 2 play for Northern to get the touchdown.

Depends on how many other 10-0 teams are in the regional bracket. Reidsville never knows whether it will be East or West or whether it will be 2-A or 2-AA. If there are multiple 10-0 teams in the regional, it comes down to a draw. Note that NCHSAA is constantly tinkering with playoffs and that I might not be up to date on the latest rulings.

Doesn't look like Shelby will drop a game, so if it stands like it has the last 3 years Reidsville and Shelby would be in the West. Not sure if Lincolnton plays Shelby regular season? Who knows who would be the 1,2 or 3 in the West. If we go East, not sure if Clinton will be a or aa. Too early to speculate

Yes. Juniors are last group I worked with. Still bitter about things. Concerned about future of rec sports in general. Participation way down. I gues those idiotic geniuses at city hall no more about recreation than I do (sarcasm intended). They are not spending as much money on rec now, but they are not taking in as much either. I'm concerned about the future for kids wanted to be involved at rec. powers that be at city hall could care less about children in this town. Sorry I got on my soap box. Still a very sore subject for me

Well city hall is saving money and that is their goal. Got to pay for whatever that thing is where monument used to be.

I'm sure that it is the 10th grade class that you are talking about With Quad, Trell, Trayvion, Logan, Zack and Navi. If I remember correctly, this was your last class.
