Reidsville-Brevard updates

3 unsportsmanlike calls on Brevard on last play. Reidsville went for it on 4th down. False start on Reidsville goes uncalled. Brevard coach has lost it.

Congratulations Reidsville! You did what all great teams do and capitalized on Brevard's mistakes. Best of luck in the ship!

I didn't like the ending of the game for my Blue Devils. Outside of that, players left everything out on the field tonight. Great season players and coaches!

Brevard had 5 unsportsmanlike penalties to end the game, several players ejected from Brevard and the refs had to be escorted to the locker room by Reidsville police, bush league all the way around!

Got beat and lost their mind!!

What were they so upset about? The uncalled false start? Or was there something else as well?

That was not a false start.

Rams RB started forward then reset. No one moved for Brevard. Ball was snapped after the reset.

If Brevard players and /or coach knew the rules they would not have made axxes of themselves and embarrassed their school.

The uncalled illegal motion they were so upset about I think came on a third-and-one.
But was it really illegal motion? -- Canada with quick thinking, reached down to pull up his sock and made it look like a natural move. Brevard didn't react and Reidsville reset before snapping the ball.

I've often wondered why a back who moves prematurely doesn't just go in motion.

Ok, I was listening to the game online. The Rams' radio guys kept saying Reidsville "got away with one" and that it was indeed a false start. Glad to know the non-call was actually correct.

There were about five unsportsmanlike penalties called on the play and another at the end of the game. Somebody said they made the bus back up 15 yards before heading back to Brevard.
That's too funny! This game again reminded me of the "Miracle in the Mud" game vs. Newton-Conover. In my opinion Rams wanted it a little more and just wouldn't quit. Brevard played one heck of a game.

The Brevard coach and players lost their ninds. I understand them being upset if they didn't know the rule. However; to attact refs leaving the field was crazy. During the post game, the fans from Brevard were on the field. Emotions were very raw and it was fortunate that tempers remained calm. The Reidsville players had to leave the field early because of the tension.
With that being said I was really impressed with the way Brevard played. Oline was the best Reidsville has faced in 5 years.
Congratulations to my Rams and good luck to Brevard in the future

Brevard offensive line was outstanding ... didn't expect Rathbone and Co. to run with so much success. I was expecting more of a passing attack by Brevard. Quarterback did a good job of play action, faking and running. Red Devils first team all season to score more than 14 against Reidsville defense.

As I was listening to the last few plays of the game online, I briefly thought of the "Miracle in the Mud", and I was really hoping Jimmy would smartly call the QB kneel at the 1 instead of trying to score the needless TD. We owe the universe a karmic debt for that Newton-Conover game, and I sure didn't want it to get repaid tonight!

By rule Mule is correct. That was a great game. I hate that emotions took over at the end. Reidsville was on about the 10yard line at the time of the movement, with only a minute left. Brevard would have had to go 90 yards in 1 min if the rams failed to get the 1st. This did not cost them the game imo. The short field after the turnover cost them dearly

As long as he resets before the ball is snapped and does not cause the defense to jump offsides there is no infraction.
