East gave up TD on missed false start by the refs. East can’t stop the run game. Weddington oc should be fired if he passes again this game😂 17-7 half
Whoever wins this game is going to have a tough night next Friday
Truthfully, Weddington out schemed them. They really just ran the ball and controlled the clock. East Forsyth Really didn't have a plan for them. They thought they could through the deep ball and that just didn't work out. You have a good QB but you must be able to run the ball and control the game. Weddington ran inside zone all night and just didn't respect EF. They scored one of their TDs on 4th down that should tell ya. EF you played your heart our but Weddington once again schemes really good. On defense they stem the front and didn't show a true front until the snap. They played different coverages and just played the pass all night. Weddington and Grimsley or Hough should be a great game.
They are not a explosive team they just scheme you. Not flashy but I think Grimsley can beat them but they have to be able to throw the ball.
Both Grimsley and Hough will out athlete Weddington. They will have to do a lot scheming. DAMN EF you're supposed to tackle the guy with the ball,

You guys that are saying Weddington “outschemed” EF must not have watched. They physically whipped them. Those two huge DTs for EF were getting bullied all night. Downhill run after downhill run. Defensively, the DL ate EF alive.
I forget which number he was but I swear Darren Sproles was out there playing for Weddington, short dude with a lot of speed.
That’s what they have been saying for the last 10 years and yes everybody always has more “athletes”. We just play. And the db’s don’t have to be as good when the QB runs for his life all night .ask Baker…. And Grimsley QB got a taste of that last year too
Weddington barely beat Butler. I'm thinking Grimsley or Hough would beat W by 21 minimum.
That Chambers team was loaded. Hollywood , Concepcion, and there was a huge tall DL # 10 ? Did he play anywhere?

First, Now do you guys believe me when i said the former DC at East is one of the best coaches I've ever seen. His teams were pitching shutouts at East every year no matter how many they graduated the year before.
I was really looking forward to seeing them play the game that was cancelled against Westside out of Anderson SC. They're a very sound athletic team, who is currently 13-0. They'll be playing for the State Championship next week.
Me too ! Hated the storm cancelled that game . Had we played it and won.. we would probably be hosting next week😡
They lost 3 defensive coaches from that staff who could've been head coaches anywhere. Without disrespecting the current defensive staff it's glaring the lack of physicality, rallying to the football and secondary play. The D coaching staff before this one always believed in more man coverage and violence to the ball carrier. It's been tough to watch this D the past couple years especially with this offense we had. If you remember we maybe pinched the kid from Independence last year who ran for what he wanted. It's sad to see the D play the way it does now with all those defensive efforts throughout the years.
Last night Weddington did what every team has done to EF last night & ran the ball right down there throat. #6 for Weddington was an absolute handful. His brother #1 injured his hand during the game and still made quite decent impact. Did not see much out of DE #9 for weddington, many told me last night he is going to OSU. Do t know if he’s dealing with injury or what but? If no one ever told me I would have thought #6 was the kid going to osu lol. I just didn’t see it last night, im sorry. Pretty big kid 6’3 or 6’4 just didn’t make any noise, #6 was in the backfield the entire night. EF were in 4 man front…5 man it didn’t matter. However, I believe the point about the weakest unit on that Weddington defense being the Db’s still stands. Weddington got cocky & started playing man coverage against pretty good athletes at receiver up 14-0 and it cost them. The defensive line for weddington truly camouflages the back half in a good way. They do a great job of stemming the DLine at the last minute & disguising coverages. What may look like single high safety cover 3, turns into cover 2 at the start of the snap. Wow. You rarely see defenses in high school rolling & disguising coverages 3 seconds before the play. Not a lot of success on sprint outs, standing in the pocket. You can’t just stay in the pocket against these guys. Plenty of missed throws/chances by Bryce Baker last night. Absolutely missed a wide open TD to #14 in 1st quarter, great Cover beater lol just missed the throw smh. He was on the run most of the night but there were many times where he had a clean pocket and completely overthrew his receivers. I know how great of a player he is but I just didn’t see 4AA 4-star play from Bryce last night. You truly don’t realize how good you have it with a Dual threat QB like Jaylen Raynor a few years ago, would have had the athletic ability to escape over half of these sacks. A pocket Qb like Baker is not ideal unless you have the O-line to block these guys it’s simple. Grimsley will most like hand the ball of to Summers about 30 times 😂😂 but they absolutely need to attack this defense through the air. Offensive coordinator for EF, I truly believe he had a wager on this game haha. Ton of questionable calls in a huge 4th round game against this type of defense, it just can’t happen. Trying to exploit the a gap was a complete fail by the Oc. You get jumped on 14-0, you attack through the air & respond its 14-7. Ok nice! EF got the ball back with momentum after scoring on the previous drive & the OC proceeds to call 3 straight run plays. Deflated!!!! That’s where the game was lost, In the 2nd quarter. Ton of questionable calls in a huge 4th round game against this type of defense, it just can’t happen. Changes are needed defensively & offensively immediately.
