Y'all keep your eyes on your schedules. Just announced here in Edgecombe County that Tarboro's game has been moved to Thursday due to it being a holiday weekend. I don't expect many to follow suit, but you never know.

Veterans Day is Saturday but the federal holiday is Friday ... also rain expected Friday .... I don't know for sure but I heard Reidsville vs West Stokes has already been moved to Thursday.

Just looked on the Facebook page --- game is Thursday ...

according to accuweather there is only a 20 per cent chance of rain friday and 80 per cent after 11pm....even then mostly light and drizzle....think the football change is because school is out friday (at least in rockingham county)..........

Weather may have been a factor but - officially - yep, it's because of Veterans Day ... but if that was the case, why didn't they announce the Thursday game last week?

These people are soft. They say Veterans Day but it’s a chance of rain so they moved it. They don’t move the Black Friday games and thanksgiving is the day before.

Here's how I see it for the Thursday game in Tarboro, they could reschedule it again and move it to the 2nd Tuesday of next week, and it will still be Tarboro by 42 lol.

Yea, I’d recommend the Thursday move as well. The players are generally fine playing in rain, but the fans aren’t. It’s going to be a much better night for football on Thursday than Friday. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Soccer playoffs games are for Thursday. Some schools soccer and football teams are still playing. I saw online Clinton football and Soccer both got #1 seed. Idk if soccer is still playing but with their AD being soccer coach and both playing at home if football game got moved to Thursday would be a cluster I imagine.

Is one of the soccer players also the football team kicker?

Clinton soccer is still playing -- Thursday game: Clinton (22-2-1) vs. Greene Central (17-4-1) in Eastern Semifinal.
Winner gets winner of Jordan Matthews (16-1-2) and Franklin Academy (17-4-3) for Eastern Championship.
The West final 4 are Salisbury, Community School of Davidson, Owen and Lincoln Charter.

Have no idea.

There's a senior Brock Sumner on both football and soccer rosters ... but stats didn't have him listed as scoring in football. Some of the stats on maxpreps are lacking though.
Yeah him and his young sibling both kick for us and are members of the soccer team. On the rare events when soccer falls on a Football night or vice versa we generally go for two but #84 Jace Westerbeek OLB has kicked in the past and did well so we have backup plans.

That doesn't sound like a good idea during the playoffs.

Well hopefully soccer and football won’t fall on the same night. But Jace hit all his PATs the night he had to fill in so either way I’m comfortable

Sweet. Nice to not miss a beat with the backups.
That it is. Too often specialist get taken for granted I remember 2 years ago not having a kicker or punter and it hurts……blessed to have more than a few that can confidently put a boot to the ball.

I know the punt you're speaking of. May have been the worst I have seen in the playoffs in a long time and boy did it hurt us. We were definitely lacking in kicking that year.

Must be exciting times in Clinton with home soccer and football games on back-to-back nights.

Seems it would be tough in a 2A school to have enough athletes to field outstanding teams in both sports. So Clinton has certainly beaten those odds.
The home grown talent is on the soccer team😆😆😆😆😆😆

Plenty of homegrown talent to go around. Brad Spell has done a fantastic job building the soccer program to what it is today.

Look clown school produced another Clown that decided to show up this morning. I hear the circus is looking for you and if that doesn’t work out I hear they are looking comedians at the local comedy club near you. You should go try out. For real though if you seriously think this you are crazy. Plenty of home grown talent on both the football team and soccer team. Clinton has a soccer club and a recreation football program. Nice try though. This theory has been proven wrong already in another thread. This is all the time I am going to waste on you. Have a nice day!

I'm 73 and I am still waiting for soccer to overtake football as the big time national sport.....been hearing this tripe since I was a teenager.....at the risk of offending a lot of people...watching soccer in person or on tv is about as exciting as waiting for my clothes dryer to finish it's job............................

Now this I agree with.
