Ok panther96 up for debate just as yall no one has scored 30 points on us all season so lets call it a tie.we both give up points but not many points. Havelock scored the most points against is all year 26 points!! I think jville scored the most points on yall. If im not mistaken.. Correct me if im wrong panther.i could be.. I know we gave up 26 all season. So i think we both have top notch defenses on the east how about that.panther cant speak on anyone else but what i c from these two behemoths..

You might want to check out the Reidsville Rams defensive stats before you start talking about who has the #1 defense in 2A.

I know we can beat anyone in front of us i know we can. Wrh that is i dont think we gonna have it easy but i know we have the team and the heart to do it the same goes for east. Duplin and clinton the havelock game gives us everything we gonna see from the spread offense. Its mostly passing and dives. A few option plays sprinkled in nothing new if u seen it once u seen it a dozen times every team were played in the playoffs ran the spread mostly except for tarboro. And they were shut down. Lets go bulldogs win win win,!! Lets end these 1 Year Wonders!! Hopes of what they think they know about football..DC football anyway.ECC all day..
U right wrh it was 22. Cause we won 26 to 22 at havelock u right im sorry. I was at that game . we held the number 3 team in the state to 22 points and the challenge in front of us is huge but we can overcome it all.
Reidsville beat a few decent 3A and 4A teams that were having a down year..and a few weak ones. They beat them handily though, I personally think they could sweep the east of they were put over there.
NHS is going to put 50 plus on you, take that to the bank.

not saying they arent as good as advertised because i know Reidsville almost always has a great team. im just saying great defensive stats against weak competition doesnt look as good as great stats against strong competition.

my team wont have that chance. our great defense will be in 2AA. WRH and NE on the other hand might see what its all about. and you will see what theirs is about.
Here are some of the top teams defense with points allowed, games giving up 20 or more and maxpreps strength of schedule.
-East Duplin 107 total 2 games over 20 with a high of 26 ss-(4.1)
-Reidsville 61 total 1 games at 20 with a high of 20 ss-(-2.0)
WRH 101 total 3 games at or more than 20 with a high of 22 ss-(6.1)
Shelby 126 total 2 games over 20 with a high of 35 ss-(17.4)
South Point 69 total 0 games 20 or more (20 game streak with less than 20 points given up) with a high of 15 ss-(9.2)
I don't know much about the east but keep in mind that Shelby also only gave up 25 to nationally ranked South Pointe RH and played by far the toughest schedule. South Points season high of 15 was against Shelby. Also nothing against Northeastern but no good D ever gave up 49 and no team that I can remember ever won state with a D than can give up 49.

I didn't know you had a twin, SL, albeit one who is not superglued to his armchair with a urinary catheter on Friday nights.
I'll also share so wisdom with you all in case you didn't know. You can score 63 point and still lose (seen it happen). However if you give up 0 its imposible to lose. DEFENSE wins championships.
Over the past two years when I look at teams we're playing I look at their schedule to see who they've played. Not so much at their records but what they do against their competition. If a team is playing a team with a less than .500 record, I want to see how many they scored and allowed. If you're a good team and I see a loosing team putting up a bunch of pts or close games...your suspect. If you're a good team and above .500 opponents are playing you close, I look at all aspects of the game. Example. In 4th round last year against Lincolnton I looked at the Maiden game when they gave up a ton of points. It was a chink in the armor.
Edenton Holmes was a good team but they were one dimensional. Lincolnton was much more well rounded.
We've won 27 games in a row. We've blown out almost every single one of the. Reidsville D is as good or a little better this year. Not saying we'll win it. Lots of competition. Lots! Everyone is excited about their chances. Please believe any team that wins had better be very well rounded. Multi dimensional. If you really on one or two guys on offense, you're going to see what Mule and the others are saying. We shut down Littlejohn and Surratt. We shut down Bailey. We shut down Trey Turner two years. Held the great backs a N Rowan in check. We've allowed .7 yards per carry and net total offense per game at 19 yds. Different animal.

In case Rams fans haven't been paying close attention to the defense, Freshman #90 Rankin (#3 in the line of great Rankins or should I say #4 including the dad) is now starting on the defensive line. Could be the very best of the Rankin brothers before he is through. Very, very impressive.
Exactly why I think the rams will still be good next year still some young talent on the team.

Bring plenty of fans, our visitors side is nice. Plenty of room for the band as well. Y'all can join in the celebrations after the game, might as well.get something after that long ride.
