Cherryville is a young team with only 2 seniors who played all year without their star 6-4 center after he got hurt in football. Record might be deceiving as they come from a tough conference with a bunch of charter schools.

Too bad we can't go into the time machine and bring back the 2010 Cherryville team to play Cherokee. That would be an amazing game.
They were stacked most years from about 03 to 2011 and also very good in 2014. I'm sure they'll get back there again.
Yeah, those were some fun teams to watch. Especially the Cameron Lovelace and Terry Whisnant-led teams.
Their 04 team was also unreal. Kenny Harris (former UGA wide receiver who could jump out of the gym) was a human highlight reel and they were huge down low with a PF who played at UNC Pembroke and a center who I think was actually the player of the year in their conference. Ranked #1 all year but couldn't break Thomasville's press at Regionals.
The Lovelace-Johnson team in 06 was another state championship favorite, but had the misfortune of drawing a long trip to Hiwassee Dam in the sectional final against one of the better teams the Eagles have had. Very tough place to play when HD is having a good year.
Lots of good Ironmen teams over the years.

Well neither game was competitive . Both games had 30 point leads. Girls was bad think it was like 50 something to 15 early in second. Boys was a little competive for a half then the lead was 30 something and cherokee had 100 with about 6 min to go.
