Oak Grove vs North Davidson

Murpheel, I was told late last night that he's out for the year but I don't have 100% proof of that. If true, the Jenkins kid (Lexington transfer) will probably be the QB. It's a wait see thing I guess.
Unfortunately I just saw on Twitter that Moore tweeted he has a torn ACL - hate that for him as he seems to be a great kid who puts in the work!

He was the defensive line coach with Holcomb for one year. Flynn made him the defensive coordinator his first year. The two years before this year you did not have to coach much on defense, but in high school scheme can get you beat sometimes more than players.

So safe to say this guy was a mistake hire. Is it being shown now with lesser talent? Football is all about adjustments. I noticed Friday, he didn’t make any.

Its interesting... I’ve not heard one thing about a lack of proficiency on that coach’s ability until this year. Is it this first taste of adversity? Is it having to compete without a monster sized senior class with lots of ability?

I don’t have the answer.

Times like this show how good you are as a coach. Not looking good for the boys in Orange.

Reality check for the Knights. No more battering 2A teams with 3AA/4A numbers and size. Got to lineup, out play and beat teams head to head on a more even level now. Still think they are well coached, have adequate size and good numbers, so they should compete for the CCC title.

North is going to have to get used to playing more players both ways, not all 11 of course but the better athletes they have. North already wasn't exactly known for speed and losing Midway makes it far more obvious.

East and West need to follow Centrals lead and utilize systems that fit their specific type of athlete.

Totally agree with you BKNut. East and West do not consistently have the athletes to run a spread offense. West does run more formations with a lead blocker but East has been running spread for the last few years but neither schools have the offense to consistently run a spread. It would better suit them to run an offense that eats clock and grinds it out. That would help them keep the game close and consistently have a chance to win.
