I think Monroe should be higher. They knocked off a highly ranked 4A team in Marvin Ridge pretty easily 28-6. Not sure if Marvin Ridge is not as good as first thought so I may be wrong but it's still impressive.

Now Old Dogg you don’t even believe what your saying. So you just bump Maiden, East Surry, and Northeastern? Maybe my Eagles 🦅 but no way should you jump ahead of Maiden and East Surry. We could say the same about a loaded Hertford County team. Everyone should beat us because we are crazy young and have only 7 seniors so I know we can’t beat any of the Duplin/Sampson teams this year. I guess I don’t blame you, your just getting an excuse ready so you could justify a potential loss this Friday.

Yes sir alls well up here. I would like to beat Wrh but I’d love to beat Reidsville. Unfortunately we lost a lot and we’ll be no threat. There’s zero chance that Clinton,Wrh,or ED loses to us come playoff time. We have a good qb who has yet to play and we have a couple good playmakers. We barely beat a bad Bertie team, we couldn’t even cover the spread. Pitiful, it’s sad times up here. Go Bruins!!!

I'd have to throw Chase in there. Maybe move Burns up a few notches. Burns and Chase both are better this year. That's the word on the street in Caroleen/Henrietta.
That's some really good 2A teams.
Don't sleep on Chase this year. The Hendo Chase game gonna be a good one.

People better not sleep on James Kenan this year. Tigers looked good running that single wing type offense last week.

I think both WRH and ED are a tad overrated at this point. Sure, both had convincing wins last week but it was against less than stellar competition. This week both face much stiffer challenges.

Frankly speaking, iI wouldn't put any of you out east there in top 5. except small chance WRH(5) MAYBE, mainly because alot of their ranking is based off of how they ended the last season.

These small schools out here west of Reidsville(Rams included) are punching above their weight from week to week while ya'll play each other and cupcakes. I stand by that until I see some major lop sided losses on this side.

It's like comparing the SEC/Big 10 to PAC 12/Big 12/ACC

Pretty sure that last year or maybe in that spring that WRH played at North Myrtle Beach, S.C.........not exactly a pushover and they gave them all they wanted in a close loss.....................

Unless you have a once in a lifetime player like a Javonte Williams your not going to win a state championship at the 2a level when you are one dimensional. Out west the top schools like East Surry,Shelby,Reidsville,etc they all have one thing in common. They can light you up both thru the air or on the ground. 95% of the schools here in the east are run first offenses and have little to no passing attack. It’s going to take a school like ED,Clinton,or NE that can go either way to bring home the next state title back to the East.

I’m about to let loose, I’m all alone though and Ill get attacked from all sides. I back my team 💯 but we can’t seem to beat certain teams and it makes it a lot harder when trying to engage with posters from said teams. I didn’t attend the state championship game last year because I knew how it would turn out. I would love to see Hertford County or even Clinton take the top spot in the East. I believe the Darkhorses will win Friday and win convincingly.

How many state championship were at the 2a level? I know of one but Im thinking maybe there are more.

Yeah goobs, that’s the difference between NE and these local 3 that can beat us on any given night. Respect. Clinton , ED and JK respect WRH. We respect them. Don’t like ‘em but respect them. WRH respects NE. That’s why they y’all’s daddy. Need to let that jealousy go.

Between 3 schools 14 titles and numerous conference and playoff ships not bad for a little ole ECC conference all these schools can beat some of the top tiered teams around on a given night!! Goob trust the process

ya'll had one of the best running backs in the state and STILL got blown out. You got beat way worse than Reidsville, Burns, AND East Surry. The score was similar to one of those 1A schools they beat.

If ya'll would have made the title game without Kanye your beat down would have been 4 times as bad with a running clock.

Yes sir it’s because of the drop in talent at the 1a level. I’ll say this and stand by my words. If NE and Shelby had of matched up in the state championship game it would’ve been a much more competitive game. Our coaches just can’t seem to figure out Wrh and that wing t. We’ve held our own against everyone else at the 2a level and no one can deny that. We played well in both state championship games against Reidsville but came up short and we won some tough playoff games on the road the past few years.
