Big Blue travels out to Wonderland to take on AL Brown this week. I can’t speak for all of MVL… but still have a bad taste in my mouth with how close those 2 games were last year.

I don’t think the score will be 2-0 this week 🤣

The game I’m watching for is the JVs. Both teams are undefeated in conference but ALB has undefeated overall record. Should be a good one. As for Varsity. I’m not going to comment except AL Brown hang in best you can. And good luck.

Running clock at halftime.

The games I’m waiting for is when Mooresville starts playing real teams in the playoffs. Hopefully we see Mooresville n Mt Tabor in a rematch.

It’s getting bad in Kannapolis when you forward to Thursday Night and not Friday Night.

Mooresville 3 ALB 2

ALB must have a offensive game plan ready to throw off Mooresville like they did a few years ago but Mooresville is prob the best D line ALB has face in some time and If ALB run game is non existent then ALB passing game hasn’t been a strong point either so bc the only way ALB wins this game it prob going be a high score affair.

Give Me

Mooresville 42 ALB 14

Give it some time I believe they will have AL Brown program build up. Good bunch of JVs will be coming up with a good QB. Just last year ALB just about beat Mooresville in the playoffs.

Yea, maybe if Brown is lucky it will be 3-0.😂

Mooresville has certainly had a dominant season, but playing against tougher opponents would really test their skills and give the audience a clearer picture of how they stack up in the postseason. This season, Mt. Tabor has demonstrated strong performances against competitive teams, and a matchup with Mooresville could highlight the differences in their respective game strategies and preparation.

Let's be honest, this conference is trash this year with the exception of Mooresville. Lake Norman is decent but I would not consider them a good team.

Welcome to the board Omaha. I can assure you that most of the posters on this board are very aware of how important the strength of schedule is when it comes to the playoffs. It’s pretty much common knowledge among us. But at the end of the day you still have to line up and play football. Mooresville plays Kannapolis this Friday and I don’t care what their record is. We can discuss playoffs when the time comes for that.

Trust me when I say this… everyone in Mooresville wants to see Tabor again. Whether it’s playoffs or a regular season game. It’s been mentioned a lot

AL Brown I thought had us on the backfoot in the 1Q. 2Q I thought we matched them…. Then we said enough was enough in the 3Q and completely shut down the Wonders. That was one of the more dominant 3Qs we’ve had all year (in fairness most have been running clocks lol).

I think the turning point in the game was when C J threw that interception right before halftime around the Mooresville 30. Worst case Brown would have been down 14-7 or possibly tied 14-14 at the half instead of 21-7.
Now all that being said Mooresville still wins the game.

I knew that Kannapolis was going to come to play despite everything they’ve been through this season. We’ve seen this movie too many times. Hardin is a damn fine coach too. This is why I have a problem with looking past anybody, towards hypothetical playoff opponents, this late in the season. At the risk of preaching to the choir….again, Mooresville has another big rivalry game against Lake Norman next Friday. Nothing else is relevant right now.

Brown played with Mooresville the first half. The 2 INT in the first half killed them.

Agree 100%. Their 3rd down conversions were well executed. Give Kannapolis a few more “Jimmy’s and Joe’s” and we may be having a different conversation this morning.

That’s why u played the game.

AL Brown draw first blood and looked like they would have the momentum but Mooresville keep it close and then Bam 💥 it’s took off.

LN will not be easy even tho they didn’t look good at all vs SI which they were lucky to escape

Halftime was their worst enemy. Stopped all the momentum they had, and the onslaught began right out of the gates after halftime.

Every game presents its own challenges, and even a team with a less-than-ideal record can pull off a surprising victory if they bring their A-game. I do know that last season I saw several lower-seeded teams upset higher-seeded opponents in the playoffs simply because they were able to execute their game plan effectively on the day. It’s a reminder that anything can happen in football, and the focus should always be on the next game.

Historically, the rivalry has produced some of the most memorable moments in our season, with nail-biting finishes and standout performances that fans still talk about long after the final whistle. Last year's game was a perfect example of this, where the atmosphere was charged with anticipation and both teams showcased their incredible talent. The stakes are always high when it comes to playoffs, and a rematch with Tabor would not only bring out the best in our players but also in the fans, creating a fantastic community spirit. It’s games like these that really define a season and foster lasting memories for everyone involved.
