Shelby fans .. this isnt 1997 .. or 2004 .. this isnt clinton in its prime or southwest onslow in their prime .. this kinston undefeated while the east is seriously weak ... kinston can be consider the " hood " of the east .... based on crime .. thats what their most notice for .. then would be winning basketball title every yr .. an from time to time when the football gods are sleeping .. a team like kinston who always has speed everywhere ..... has enough for a magical season .. I think 2010 or 2011 they went to the state finals an lost .. while in most of the early 2000s an 90s they we're 3a ... my prediction for this will be shelby 45 - kinston 14 ... early in the game kinston speed will show .. latter in the game football experience an coaching will take over an shelby will do what they want ..... hope this helps out a little .. good luck to both sides ... pulling for the east but the lion eats up the Vikings for sure

Kinston is alot like northeastern .. edenton holmes ... sometimes their fast enough to be in a good position .. but winning a title is another story vs shelby ..
Kinston gonna have speed but its not trained speed .. u guys are trained properly .. the east us horribly weak u huys should win by alot .. but wallace an james kenan move up to 2a in 2 yrs so the east will be a beast
Really crazy to think that the better matchup would be 1aa WRH vs Shelby or even 1aa James kenan.
Ninja I agree with you prediction. Kinston will show there speed early but now there 3-4 fastest players will be getting very worn down against Shelby receivers. Top that the Kinston offense may be a little to predictable for a Shelby defense. Pulling for the east, but this one don't look good on paper.

I can absolutely guarantee one thing- there will be a lot of junk talking on the field. Yellow flags are going to be flying.

This one was not hard to call. Look at who landed 2a in the east. Proud of Kinston and those kids unfortunately, we as SWO fans understood what Shelby can do and what kind of team it would take to beat them. We have beat them and lost to them.
When Shelby went up 36-0 I looked at SHS Lion and said the officials were going to take over and they did and never looked back. They were horrible the whole second half.
I don't know. It was over 120 just after half time. We did it all year and I always thought it would come back to bite us. It didn't, so all good.
Don't know answer but for the entire season we had
190 penalties for 1690 yards..... Or 11.8 per game for 105.6 yards per game.....

I am convinced once a program gets to that dominate stage the refs become harder. At Southwest during one 10 year period we prolly had more personal flags than anybody in the state. I use to look at Ninja and say we are hitting to hard because after every big hit a flag would come out MYSTERIOUSLY. After every INT there was a block in the back. I know what your going through Shelby.
Massive amount of yardage. But let's be completely honest. Those kids talk some serious junk and for decades its been that way. They love arguing with refs as well. They don't exactly get on the best side of the officials and still overcome the flight of the yellow bird.
I've seen plenty of it everywhere. Dominant teams get lots of called back big gains until the coach spills the field with substitutes.
