The 2012-2015 WRH JK games were the best football games I’ve seen every game was a classic. Every team was loaded. JK can still say they were the last team that prevented WRH from winning a state championship. 2015 was a special season JK should have won State that year. Had a perfect season taken by the worst officiating I have ever seen on a cold night at Rosewood. To this day I still believe those refs were payed off. That took away our path to a 1 seed, lost a nail biter to WRH in the pound. I can still see Zach Melvin dropping the ball with daylight in front of him that essentially ended the game. Had we not lost to the refs at Rosewood we would have had home field in Eastern Final beaten WRH (like we did previously that season) and won State. That 2015 game was the last time we beat WRH. God knows I’m ready for us to beat Wallace again. We are due 1 and it’s going to happen Friday night.
You're exactly right! If a ECC team has to "get hyped up" to play ED WRH JK or Clinton, then that team is already behind the 8 ball, so to speak.
They should, especially if the ECC has seeding priority over the weaker conferences.
All 4 teams in the ECC is for real, and will be a tough out come playoff time.
And East Duplin is going to get waxed by Clinton this week just like JK did last week
They are going to give us a game. We need another turnover free tonight. As long as we keep control the ball and create some turnovers we should be alright. Got a feeling WRH is going to try and beat us through the air.
We were not in conference with WRH for a few years and played them at beginning of season and I believe the date was already set for them and instead of not playing anyone we opted to play twice in same season. Have played them twice past few years. Don’t think anyone else was available. This will be the first game since the 2015 Eastern Final that game has major meaning other than just a rivalry game.
The way the rankings have been changed it may actually help both teams. Wouldn't be surprised if see some other teams do this in the future.
Our run defense is getting better. I think WRH will have to go to the air in order to keep up. Clinton’s defense is better I will give you that. Our defense has done a good job of bending not breaking and creating turnovers.
Yes JK defense is getting better and better, day by day, and game to game. And Wallace will HAVE to throw the ball, our d-line is playing like men now. I think JK gets it done 35-21 sets up the conference championship game at Dark Horse stadium next week
Probably none. They know they aren’t welcome on either side and they probably have a false hope they can beat Clinton.
An idea have a Thursday night or Saturday night “Game of the Week” so other teams in conference have chance to go.
Looks like WRH has a new #1 back in Kanye Robert’s. JK has the weapon we desperately needed Week 1.
If WRH goes into the game thinking this will be like Week 1 they are in for a long night. I’m glad y’all still bring that score up it’s a good reminder that there is no way in hell JK loses that bad again. It’s also a reminder of how far we have come. It’s not easy to beat a team twice in the same season.
