I was thinking the same thing. In the east that 32 Pasquotank matchup against #1 ranked JK would be so good and then possibly Wrh coming back to Elizabeth City in rd II to face Northeastern. In the west a possible second rd matchup between West Stokes and Salisbury would be fun to watch.

It would be a great game because coach Lowman is a bandy's alumni he's green through and through his dad was the head coach of bandy's forever and he took over afterwards

Yeah but you didn't take advantage of 3 Brevard Turnovers and they brought pressure all night up front forcing England's throws to be off all night. The Lane kid put Maiden up 18-14 with a minute and a half left then Brevard went down and scored and that was that!! The Henry kid was a step away from sacking there QB inside the 10, if he does it's Maiden and Lincolnton and not Brevard and Lincolnton to go to State Championship

Sorry I put the same stuff in my post didn't see yours till late my fault!! Newton-Conover game was were the receiver caught the 99-yard td pass from England!! You can check and see if I am right but that Receivers catch according to my brother who covered Maiden around that time on local radio believes that is the longest reception in School History but someone might wanna do some fact checking

Actually it should of been 5 turnovers Brevard's running back fumbled at least 2 more times and luckily for them they recovered. As good as that Brevard team was turnovers were a problem at times that season!! You are correct it was cold had to watch my cousin cheer for Maiden I think she was a junior that year!!

That maiden team might have been one of the most talented to ever come through at one time. I still think about what it could do in today's time with a more updated offense. That would have better took advantage of the great receivers we had along with Tommy Henry at running back
